Re: Which hoover?
Our Hetty (pink Henry) is Ancient too, it must be 15 years old now. It's not wonderful on pet hair but gets most stuff up and hasn't been a problem with tools. The wife was going on about getting a shark but I saw on their facebook page that the spare support seems to be pretty terrible so decided a...
Re: Twitter
Sorry - I was only narrowly answering the question about any Tesla stock he would pledge as collateral for the margin loan. That bit wouldn't hurt particularly. The wider picture is that he actually only utilised a 'small' (in percentage terms) amount of leverage to buy Twitter so contributed $31bn...
Re: Mortgages
It was instant after brexit. We’ve been struggling to hit target this year which is definitely due to general conditions but the drop in international volume is directly connected to brexit. I do this for a living, I’ve looked at the data  You also claimed to get all your news/views previously...

Re: Smartwatches
Having dropped off the Active2 now at a local repair shop for a quote what's the betting that they'll choose to repair it and not write it off  . It's proved it's not much use to me as it's not waterproof (despite the IP67 100m rating). Once they decide what to do i'll go see both the Suunto an...
Re: Mortgages
Nope, our sales in general went up over lockdown. It was customs legislation and uncertainty about deliveries that killed our international volume. Enjoying your latest spiral though mate. https://media1.giphy.com/media/RJ9hwioJ70GeA/giphy.gif?cid=ecf05e47jj010cx3oc4sffn58tzixhatqbq66i6bkdd8nsm4&am...

Re: Kirstie Alley
Not a big cheers fan but I was disappointed she didn't reprise her role as Savvik in the Search for Spock (I think she had a scheduling clash) as she was great in the Wrath of Kahn.

Re: Smartwatches
I'm still trying to sort out my insurance claim (as it happened on a holiday) so haven't progressed anything yet. This probably should turn into a moan. Insurance company have asked for an engineers report/quote for repair (which I got them to fund after they told me not to worry about it twice). I ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Washer jets diagnosed as a faulty one way valve. Pushed the two pieces of pipe together for now until the new one arrives. £2.29 posted for the new one.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Dropped off the new A/C condenser at the body shop and had a look round the car - sills aside, it's absolutely solid everywhere and is in remarkable shape. Discovered the headlight washers weren't connected but aside from that, no major dramas. Think I'm going to have to stump up for a new windscre...

Be a shame if monitoring and prosecuting this stuff was more complicated than just a hashtag or two, eh? And if Twitter had, through firings and people leaving due to Musks atrocious managemen style, left just a skeleton crew to deal with such a complex problem. https://www.latimes.com/business/sto...

Re: Smartwatches
I do have a barely used Suunto 9 Baro I could sell for much cheapness as I think my days of ultra running are over ;) If I wasn't a brainwashed Apple nerd, even I'd probably go for a Garmin Fenix these days as they seem to be so far ahead of Suunto now. I was looking at the 9 Baro, I'd never seen S...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Unfortunately inpa won’t do it so I need to find something else. Given that it’s lived most of its life around London, and how unworn the gear was compared to so many I’ve seen, I’m struggling to believe the box itself could be that worn, which is why I’m still tempted to try a whole new actuator. ...

My galaxy active 2 has died due to water ingress (went swimming with and despite it being ip67 rated it leaked and has died) as we were on a long weekend break insurance look like it might cover it. Not keen on another Samsung after this and the failure of my note 10 so I'm looking elsewhere. Apple ...

Damn, had a funny feeling their tour in 2019 might be their last with at least their mostly original (post Peter green) line up. Glad we were there to experience it. I always thought that John might go first as he did look frail after all those years of drinking. RIP and thanks for the music Christi...

Re: Your fleet running reports
The pickup in the washer fluid tank often gets clogged with slime, check that out first. If it's a broken pipe you should see fluid dripping out under the car. Yep, I was going in for the tank first as it's easy to get to via the grill, so hopefully like you say a good clean and it will be sorted. ...
