Re: Why are road trips so alluring?
The only redemption would if I made a YouTube video called "I bought the cheapest Smart car on eBay and drove to Italy for a pizza    " and hope it goes viral so that the monetisation pays for the suffering inflicted by driving. “My brother bought the cheapest Ferrari...

I’d say he’s right to hold back, However neither should be in the road as they ignore the more vulnerable road user patiently waiting at the zebra crossing at the start of the video

Re: State of the Roads
Private car parks are currently making the roads look good around here. One of our local shopping centres with B&M, the range, food warehouse and Smyths toys is constantly busy, but at one point it has a pothole that spans something like 10ft by 2ft

Re: Today’s want
Another kinda want. V10 Phaeton. LWB with the split rear seats is very cool but engine out for turbo replacement is a mission and the KESSY (keyless entry & start) problem points to water damage. I know mine’s been replaced already. Not insurmountable but likely a pain to track down. https://ww...

Re: Bright light, bright light!
What will the research achieve though? Once headlights go past a certain brightness they have to have self levelling technology, which keeps the beam just below dazzle height so every bump they raise up enough to bypass your retina and send the beam directly down your optic nerve to your brain The m...

Re: Hive mind: opinion on this polo
Like a lot of older cars, even on low mileage they can have gearbox issues due to 18 year old oil in them, as it was supposedly not “needed to be changed” which is absolute bullshit  however a mate who has one just had his rebuilt at a cost of around £500 so not a horrendous bill but it does re...
