Re: EV Thread

Synthetic fuels are still relatively inefficient, expensive to produce and still produce C02 as they burn.

Why do you think they are?

Re: Your fleet running reports

I asked the dealer about the door handle cap a couple of months ago and they said I had to buy a door handle!

Where did you get the cap from assuming it's the outer door handle trim for the Mito?

I had to google Poule Breton and going to have a go at that next week. Pics would be 😎

Faggots and Peas here tonight, I'm not sure if it's a Welsh Butchers thing but I enjoy them.

Re: Car Insurance Renewal Roulette

Yep you don't want to have your insurance cancelled or you're never getting cheap insurance in the future. When I was young pass plus only saved a negligible amount of money with a few insurers who had vastly uncompetitive quotes in the first place so check first before you have your kid waste mone...

Re: Car Insurance Renewal Roulette

My daughters is supposedly only monitored for speed and mileage but still a bind. The consequences for having a policy cancelled due to breaking the terms are horrendous for a very long time, possibly forvever! Passplus is another help if they do that at your local authority? Yes, I noticed that qu...

Re: EOTR: Alfa 4C

The buyers must be there as they are certainly on the up. They look exotic and the carbon tub etc obviously makes them desirable. The cab is tight and I'd be too big anyway but I'm still terrified of the flakey electrics and box. My IAM instructor has one and it's been with Fiat for months for the s...

Its become more convoluted! She is apparently "exceeding the speed limit" regularly in 20mph zones, advisory 20mph zones with the 20 in a black circle! The local authority has updated the telematics people that these areas are now 20mph limits, which they aren't as the legislation doesn't...

Re: Car Insurance Renewal Roulette

I have insured my new car as a swap on my existing policy. £322 extra, which covers about 49 weeks so most of the whole year of the policy. I wonder if insurance for an S6 would be significantly cheaper elsewhere? Sound like its worth running a comparison. That's a chunk extra for a similar vehicle!

Re: Car Insurance Renewal Roulette

Youngsters insurance is a pain in the arse. If he was insured as a learner in his own name some insurers will give a years no claims from that date but you need to ring around as its not always apparent on the comparison sites! My daughter has just had notification that they intend to cancel her pol...

I occasionally watch the Dennis Collins channel and coincidentally he's offloading a load of stuff he's been hoarding. Hopefully just realised he's never going to get around to renovating some of the rougher stuff rather than ill health etc. 200+ cars though

He'd refreshed it using its standard internals, standard ignition, injection system and all the period modifications. Tom said on multiple occasions to ditch the standard ignition and injection system. He couldn't have been more clear on it. At least the larger period throttle bodies were effective,...
