Re: No F1 thread?

Latifi is out. About bloody time really. I saw these stats the other day: https://twitter.com/andrewbensonf1/status/1572504638800400384?cxt=HHwWgMDQteao1NIrAAAA Given where De Vries and Albon, and Russell before them, have managed to drag the car to, it's hard with Latifi in the car to know just ho...

Re: Choppers

I booked the helicopter hike at the Franz Josef Glacier on the South Island of NZ many years ago. It got cancelled because of fog. That would have been my first time in a helicopter, haven't pursued it since. Not sure how I feel about the risk, as they're something that if there is a problem, I gues...

Yeah, I'm quite happy where I am in Suffolk too.

Wouldn't mind a holiday home somewhere warm for the winters, where I can have a car and bike tucked in a garage waiting for me...but wouldn't we all?

Re: FAO bikers

The folk who love the 125s must be slender little midgets :D I'm 6'4" and about 100kg. Not only do I look ridiculous on one, but a mild incline means 40mph tops and a queue of annoyed cars behind me ! I'm 6' and about 85kgs and I'd still look ridiculous on a 125. Doesn't stop me wanting one fo...

Re: FAO bikers

To give the flipside to what SJ is saying about 125s, I happen to still own the 125 I bought when learning to ride, and still thoroughly enjoy riding it! It's super light, agile and friendly. It requires a different approach to riding heavier bikes. Whizzing around on it requires perfecting the art ...

Re: No F1 thread?

Was thinking exactly that. The move from Red Bull was obvious, he'd have suffered the same fate as Webber. what, a seat in the fastest car with the opportunity to win races every week, but having to realise that he's not the fastest driver in the team? I'd rather be there than where he's ended up. ...

The first few years when I lived on the Suffolk coast, I used to see waterspouts every few weeks out at sea. After that barely ever saw one again.

When a tyre wears down, does it have the same rolling radius as a new tyre, due to the tyre flexing like tank tracks?

Re: Ticketed by a PCSO

There's sadly been a few high-profile cases recently of cyclists jumping red lights, colliding with a pedestrian and the pedestrian dying. Do that in a car and you can get 14 years for dangerous driving. The same law doesn't apply to cyclists and the archaic "wanton or furious" offence* t...

He wasn't just admitting to it, he was gloating about it. Nasty piece of work.

Sounds like a decent explanation...

(Alpine seem to have forgotten that they had to take up the option on Piastri by August the 1st, and Piastri will have signed for McLaren to replace Ricciardo.)

That did confuse me for a moment, as it's so much more common for a pole sitter to have one or two purple sectors

A well deserved pole position 😎
