That's excellent info, Harry thanks very much.
I'm just about to start a new job with an hours commute each way, are they overly noisy on the motorway? I've been driving a 25-year-old Nissan Pulsar for the last 9 months, so our perceptions of noisy might be different

Re: Post Covid Plans??
See the Mrs. It's only been 6 months so far... you know it’s only been lockdown for 6-7 weeks though yeah?! But even the shortest time apart feels like eternity! Indeed. But the last time I saw her was in November as she's on a ship in the Caribbean and I'm working on a contract in Australia. I was...

Re: BBQs
Find your local charcoal maker here http://devoncharcoal.co.uk/makers/(it covers most (all?) areas of the UK). I've found that the local stuff is great quality and cheaper than Weber stuff too.
If you're in Devon/Cornwall Beau Dobson of Liz's logs makes great charcoal.

Re: Coronavirus
Mrs is a doctor in the navy. She's fairly sure that it's onboard her ship (as sure as she can be without any testing facilities onboard). One of those affected is the captain, who thinks that isolation is spending 2 hours in the evening playing Mario Kart in the mess, and making himself a coffee in ...

Re: Holidays cancelled thread
Kiwi.com - Utter bunch of bastards. Despite airlines offering a full refund tried to offer a 25% refund in credits on kiwi or wanted £20 to claim the full amount back from the airline on your behalf and pay you back, total time up to 6 months. People going nuts on both their linkedin and Facebook p...

Re: Long term changes of COVID 19
I'd love to be optimistic about it, but having seen how people have behaved when it comes to panic buying and social distancing, go you honestly think the majority will learn anything??? Very much this. As has been previously established, people are idiots, a dose of the corona virus is unlikely to...

Re: Holidays cancelled thread
I've booked 4 weeks in Martinique in April/May to see the GF, who I haven't seen since November. I'm rather loath to cancel it, seeing as the flights cost £2k, I really want to go to the Caribbean, I'd like a holiday, I want to swim with turtles and I guess seeing the GF would be good too. Unfortuna...

Then running out of charge half way through drilling a field and having to wait 8 hours to recharge it. Thats fine, they were stopping to have a coffee and a wee break anyway. I don’t know what the fuss is about... That said a lot of farms round here have their own windmills so leccy vehicles might...

Have found this page of ones for the job - https://www.worldofpower.co.uk/home-owner-chainsaws.html There is only one remotely suitable one on that page. this one I know Mik just chose the most expensive saw on the page, but it's actually a great saw. Mine has a 14" bar, and it's never struggl...

Piss poor security
I've recently opened a new bank account in Australia and signed up for online banking. Their password rules are an absolute joke; must be six characters, no special characters, all lower case, no two-step or multifactor identification available. I'm finding it hard to believe that any financial inst...

Did you find that the later books were more of the same old? That he keeps on referencing events that have happened in his comic books, I found to be very annoying as well, it felt as if you were being deliberately penalised if you hadn't read them, despite him saying that they're not critical to th...
