Re: Motorway Mile Munchers

I've forwarded him the suggestions. Also I remember he was quite fond of the V8 diesel in the Q7, but he doesn't want a SUV. It appeared in the Panamera for a very short period. Was it in any other cars?

Re: Motorway Mile Munchers

All of his current cars do teens mpg, this is what he's trying to get away from. Apart from the Tesla, but it's not very comfortable and new longer journey would require charging mid journey which he doesn't want.
He did also bring up a 8 series, also diesel :(

Motorway Mile Munchers

What's good out there? My dad wants something to waft in doing 25,000 miles a year. Preferably something which has done most of its depreciation, Euro 6, probably a diesel. Ruled out a 7 series because it's too ugly, no S Class because he doesn't want to look like an Uber. Current generation A8 depr...

“Operators are faced with the dilemma of having to repaint spaces to accommodate these larger vehicles, which is especially difficult at some older multi-storey car parks where space is already restricted. “Unfortunately, this would lead to an overall reduction in the total number of spaces availabl...

Re: State of the Roads

I’ve noticed they don’t even fill in all the potholes that they mark now. I can only assume it’s because it’s different teams. The regular crew is just a transit which tips some tarmac into a wheel barrow which the chap dumps into the hole and jumps up and down a bit to compact - these repairs shoul...

Re: State of the Roads

I also use the council site which is no more onerous than the alternatives, it's handy as it shows every reported pothole on an interactive map so you don't waste time. I've just checked the email from my last report and it says they "aim to fix potholes within 28 days" and there's nothing...

Anyone watching BBC news on this? It's like one of those spoof/parody interviews on YouTube. Americans being interviewed and on about how they're seeing the power of god and the lord and the spirituality
Can't get something more science based than an eclipse!

Re: State of the Roads

I just checked - spring budget 2023 an extra £200 million set aside just for pot hole repairs over the next 12 months. It’s been over 12 months now and what few potholes that have been repaired locally have all failed already. Dare I say that £200 million would have gone further in South Africa. The...

Re: Mouse hunting

Yeah mine are plastic and easy to set. I bought some cheap wooden ones at first and couldn’t figure out how to set them without breaking my own fingers first. So don’t buy the wooden ones.
