Re: The Watches Thread

First time I looked at that picture of the Farer on a wrist Alex ( I'm assuming yours), I was thinking 'woah, wtf is up with your wrist'. Then I realised you were wearing it on your right wrist. I wear a Seiko Sportura SNA65 (apparently), I don't know if it's supposedly a pile of crap but I lik...

Re: People that are full of shit

On schools and bullshiters, my brother's next door neighbour run a C350e, a 340r and an ML of some description. They pled 'poverty' and got one of their parents to pay for their child's private schooling. A few weeks later they bought an F430 Spider. They have to hide it in the garage every time th...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I think the thing I’m realising more about them is that it doesn’t make much sense to upgrade them a long way, the sensible thing to do is sell the car and buy a better spec one. They sort of hit a price ceiling based on the model they are and people can’t see beyond that when buying. You're right,...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Actually Duncs, having said that about the headlight brackets, yours are set back but look good. Which ones are they? I don't actually know apart from being 5 3/4". They came on the car, if you tell me how to figure out what they are I'll have a look. There's some amazing things on ther...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Can that headlight price be right? If you want it with LED it's €1500. The rear arches actually look like great value in comparison. I want some bare carbon ones. I'm guessing you have to drill the holes in these yourself though, which would be a bit scary for me as I'd be worried I'd mess t...

Looks like you're right about the service from JAL ste. He's put a new unit on next day delivery with everything I need to send the old one back.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Westermann Motorsport have them. Westermann are essentially 'MOG', they make all the silly carbon stuff: http://westermann-motorsport.com/index.php?page=product&info=8 I often wish I'd never found that website... have a largish order being made at the moment. ...for a bit of fun, spec on...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I've already got the carbon rear blocks, that was a real saga and it's still not quite finished. I received no confirmation after ordering, got no response to phonecalls or emails and had to take to social media before they seemed to even start to make them. It took 5 weeks for them to turn up and ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I've also bought a set of these ready for my rebuild. Possibly one of the best companies I've ever dealt with; his customer service is outstanding. Trying to decide why I don't need the LED headlights too... other than the shocking cost. He's sending me out another unit, and I need to fit it by Sat...

Re: F1 Thread

It was surprising how Bottos got the undercut on Vettel but other cars were seeming to go well on that tyre. I think Bottas also put in good in and out laps.

Critical meeting for the future of the sport coming up as they're going to talk about how to make following easier. I hope they sort it out.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Rear lights update, installation didn't go as smoothly as I intended. On the left side break lights were the indicators, and indicators were the break lights. After exchanging a couple of emails with the suppliers looks it was sent out with a couple of plugs the wrong way round so hopefully it's a q...

Saw an M4 GTS for the first time the other day. He went into the slow lane off a dc roundabout and I went past in the outside lane. Nothing behind me so I tucked in in front of him hoping he would gun it past. Alas not, sat trundling behind me, miserable git.

Re: F1 Thread

Great race. I actually thought Bottas was very good today, came under a lot of pressure from both Seb and Kimi and didn't look like buckling at any point. Good restart after the SC too.

He got plenty of stick last week so deserves credit this week.
