I've always called that herringbone parking. Guess that's what comes from growing up/living by the coast. Although looking at it, that might be a similar but sliiiightly different concept.

Re: Mesh wifi
By coincidence, my Draytek 2866ax shat it's biscuits last night, so I'm now running on my old (oooold) 2830n Which is....painful. And doesn't like VPNs much. And has shit wifi by modern standards. The 2866ax is still technically within 2yr warranty, but the RMA process might take a while, so I'm rep...

The Telegraph is just the Daily Mail for people who want to appear to be above reading the Daily Mail.
Re: Parking
Totally depends on where parking and in what situation. I tend to reverse in, but a lot of the time it's no more difficult or complicated to go in forward and reverse out where there's clear visibility all around.

If you don't know, now you know....
...to not bother buying a 718 Spyder if you don't have a garage, so that you never have to think about taking the roof off - because fuck me that's a faff of a process.

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement
Yep, this is definitely a UK (and from what I can see from random dash cams) US phenomena of drivers and cyclists not respecting each other. I don't know what changed as everything was fine a decade ago and there were still plenty of cyclists in London then. Now you've got drivers trying to kill cy...

Re: EV Thread
Yes, but a 911 has little things like build quality and character, and also isn't sold by a company which is very publicly and loudly headed by a weird little nazi-adjacent freak. So, you know, there's that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferdinand_Porsche#/media/File:Bundesarchiv_Bild_183-H06734,_G...
Re: EV Thread
The Turbo S (and most 911s) will also launch repeatedly without complaining.
I wonder how many launches you can get out of a Model 3 before it grumbles about it?

I suspect that logic is perhaps somewhat exaggerated, but er, ever heard of drain holes?
You kids have designed a car before, right?
Right?

Re: Decent Recent TV
I hear lore nerds aren't happy.... Fvck those guys. They're never happy. It's a TV show. Get over it. I think you also made the point that it's so difficult these days to read impartial, objective reviews to anything as so many sites seem to have an agenda of one sort or another. Its also funny (an...

Re: Test drive report
Oof, 140 mile range at 98% charge? That's city car range for bopping around town, not exactly what you want on a big, spacious five seater. Edit - just realised I must have read the numbers wrong in the ad, and that 140 miles is the trip, and ~200 miles is the range, which is a bit better, but still...

Some american chums on discord were doing cold starts, so I decided to contribute. Angy little thing https://youtu.be/E0aBPHWpjgs You'll probably see from the amount of traffic - going past pretty fucking close - is why putting the E46 on a jack or axle stands was not something I particularly enjoye...

An update - the UK petition is now live and takes two minutes to fill out. If you own The Crew (you know, unless it was removed from your account recently, which may be a play to prevent evidence of proof of purchase/ownership...) then there's a detailed set of steps for contacting the Directorate G...
