Yeah. I read the news reports when they mentioned EV and didnt delve into it again until corrected.

Re: Locking wheel nuts/bolts

I imagine you can buy keys to open most of them online too. Not sure I’d bother fitting them if I didn’t already have them but I’d leave them on to make sure my insurers don’t refuse cover if my wheels were nicked. Jobbo has the nuts of correctness. :o The Jag solved this problem by breaking studs ...

I thought the Luton one had been but I'm in orthopedic shoes on that.

I wonder how the car park fires in Luton and now Bristol will impact premiums, especially on electric cars.

Re: The 'suggest a new car for Chris' thread

Sorry Dan, with it being winter my tastes are distinctly Mercedes shaped at the moment  Found this lovely one the other day, but need to eBay the Citroen first (and stop a pesky warning light coming on) https://www.carandclassic.com/l/C1666213 The wear on the steering wheel seems to indica...

Re: Letting family members drive your cars third party

I'm still surprised that I let ExWife2 drive the Saab. She once came back into the house and told me that the car was up the road with the key in the ignition and the window open as she couldn't get the key out (she didn't put it into reverse) and the door wouldn't open (the handle needed two pulls ...

Re: Letting family members drive your cars third party

I think it comes down to people who I have faith in their ability and awareness. Agreed. And aside from the insurance angle, I've noticed a pattern: * People I trust and I have offered my cars to always politely decline (Gavster & my Dad excepted). * People that directly ask to drive my cars ar...

Re: Letting family members drive your cars third party

My family members have drive my cars TP, it's just metal so I'm not that fussed. My BIL spun my Elise and wrecked the front clam so I've clearly never learnt my lesson A few people on here have driven some of my cars as well. Thankfully they all came back in one piece although one had far less fuel...

Re: Letting family members drive your cars third party

No way I'd let anyone drive my car without full cover normally. To be fair, Jimmy drove my Jimny without us worrying about insurance - he wasn't named on my policy so he'd have been legal relying on the third party cover on his own. But it's not a particularly valuable car. I think it comes down to...

Re: American 360 Owners

I've just realised that the last manuel I drove was Jobbo's Jimny when we went green laning a couple of years ago! I'm clearly becoming an American which would at least explain why I'm getting fatter. Yeah, but your left leg will be withering through lack of use. As I'm on Shanks Pony at the ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I was going to post this in moaning but having considered it, I'm more bemused than annoyed. I've listed the Galaxie for sale on ebay. It went live last night. The first question came in and with trepidation I opened the email: Hi how many owners has it had ? It's a harmless question but - the car ...

Re: Mental Health

Gonna go to the pool and have a big swim. Swimming is great because the no.1 concern on my mind is making sure I breathe air, not water, so it's a great distraction. On of my friends has an extremely stressful job and when he started getting depressive episodes started open water swimming. He credi...

Damn my mental health is poop today :| Was glad to get through November as I always get a seasonal low mood, especially around my birthday. Re: Your fleet running reports

Oof. Similar to my old SLK55. "It'll just be the controller unit, about £500". Turns out the whole thing needed a rebuild, £2500 later... Not sure I'd want to drop £3k on the car though....depends how much you enjoy it and how solid the rest? What's it worth with a broken box? It's a non ...
