Re: Bat soup/Wuhan
I've had duck brain and fish eyeballs in Hong Kong before and also tripe Chinese style Incidentally the infections from ebola in West Africa is a result of the same 'interesting' diet... FFS. You're in the at-risk category for sure. Thing is, you kind of expect that behaviour from Africans. Particu...

Re: Bat soup/Wuhan
And can people fuck off with calling poor terrible places “cultural” please. Agreed. It just encourages them and delays their evolution. Look at the French. We've been setting them an example for centuries and they still eat songbirds whole given half a chance. Funny how you can be so close and yet...

Re: Bat soup/Wuhan
Been looking into brain consumption a bit more and it's quite worrying really. It appears that Pakistanis, particularly ones from India can't get enough of them. If venturing into a unfamiliar curry house be aware that Maghaz Bhuna, which I think sounds pretty innocuous tbh, is in fact cow or sheep ...

Re: Bat soup/Wuhan
Toasted Witchery grubs (they do taste very nutty), Green ants (licked for the tangy taste so I guess technically not eaten) Scorpion, Meal worms, Crickets, Crocodile, Ostrich, Camel and a bunch of weird offal in Japan while I was drunk. An Aussie DimSims so that's probably whatever roadkill was nea...

Re: Bat soup/Wuhan
Tasted sheep brains in Romania. It wasn't nice. That's about the best I can do. Yep, that's suitably disgusting and should help to reassure people who are concerned about us leaving the EU. Sheep are particularly stupid creatures though. If I was forced to eat a brain, I'd probably opt for a fox. A...

Re: Bat soup/Wuhan
Had some shit cuts of meat like ox tongue. Never done it. My father used to eat tripe when I was a kid. Smelled so fucking disgusting. There was always Sweet Bread on the counter in the butchers as well. Which is possibly the most misleading name for something eva. https://www.dartagnan.com/dw/imag...

Re: Bat soup/Wuhan
Crocodile and Kangaroo in Aus, Ostrich and Kudu in South Africa, Reindeer in Finland. I had a dish in Moscow that translated to “Hen Spirals” - fuck knows what part of a hen that was. I’m not a very adventurous eater if I’m honest... An impressive list Dinny. tbf though I'm taking it with a...

Re: Bat soup/Wuhan
The thing I've eaten that most western people find weird and I hated is Natto. It's soybeans that have fermented, they have a slimy, stringy texture and they taste bad. Apparently really good for you though. https://d20aeo683mqd6t.cloudfront.net/articles/title_images/000/038/216/original/pixta_4978...

Re: Bat soup/Wuhan
Doesn't sound very nice Dave. Probably chlorinated so you'd be safe but well done for trying it.
Oh and northerns please note that I know 'Barm Cake' is just bread and you only eat roadkill because you're starving so it doesn't fucking count.

Re: ios 13.3
It’s been traumatic. :| I had to chase the taxi company this morning about my pickup at the airport, and had no choice but to use a public pay phone. :o A PUBLIC PAYPHONE  I have no idea when I last did this, but it was A LONG TIME AGO :? (on the upside, it wasn’t covered in gob nor nuffin.....

Bat soup/Wuhan
In the spirit of the day, I'd like to point out that some foreigners are right dirty bastards. Have you seen what these crazy chinese have been eating? https://squathole.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/bat-soup.jpg It's no wonder they're all getting sick. Apparently your average Bat carries more...

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
The fool doth think he is wise but the wise man knows himself to be a fool.
There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt.
Nothing in this game for two in a bed.

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Pretty sure that's French Broccers
I'm currently abstaining but if I were to indulge then perhaps a chilled bottle of vintage Concorde, a Gold Label or two and perhaps a Babycham for the mrs whilst we watch repeats of Bullseye on the telly and plan our summer holiday in Dorset.

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
To be or not to be, that was the question but now what light through yonder window brakes upon this sceptred isle, this blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England? As the very battery of the EU heads ever downwards toward 80% capacity we have siezed the chance to get ours replaced under warr...

Re: Being offended
This craziness is what happens when you take certain words and make them haram. Many people are either too thick or too malicious to appreciate context. The problem should remain with them and not with wider society. Offence was not given in this instance but it was taken nevertheless. If one were t...

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Who needs Stella anyway?. Stella is brewed in Magor, Wales. HTH Just to bring you up to speed, French fries aren't from France and German Shepherds aren't from Germany either. Don't worry, I'm sure these outrageous anti-british slurs will all be corrected in what will become known as The Great Clea...

I’m saving all my Brexit 50ps for a massive “I fucking told you so” party in 2025. You know Dave, that's the kind of NEVER SURRENDER spirit that built our great EMPIRE in the first place. Brings a tear to my eye it does. RULE BRITANNIA BRITANNIA RULES THE WAVES BRITONS ARE PROBABLY ALL JUST CUNTS L...
