Re: Which?

Looks like I'm one of two who would take the coin toss. You're looking at the difference between a nice house, vs never working again and your children never having to work either, if invested properly. That's worth a shot for me.

Re: Blocked at work

Looks like your proxy is doing HTTPS interception and that, for some reason, it doesn't support SNI correctly.

Re: The House Projects Thread

In all seriousness, that's how much a house like that _should_ cost. It's just that prices in the south particularly, have gone crazy. This. I have looked at stuff up to £1.5m in Worcestershire and there's a lot of optimistic pricing; I think this (on the same road, just done up by a builder) will ...

In all seriousness, that's how much a house like that _should_ cost. It's just that prices in the south particularly, have gone crazy. I agree. That's the cost of foreign investment in property driving up the prices, I think. It will never come to pass, but as a thought experiment it would interest...

BTW, Deb is now mad at me as I showed her your place and she's upset about what we could get for our money in another part of the country. Said 'if you say we are moving I will pack tomorrow!'. Great.

I have a 5.1 soundbar and sub setup but actually you don't need it. Most of the appreciation is in the story and the visual, not the aural.

Re: The Movie Thread

Finally finished watching Oppenheimer. Quite a film. Nolan keeps knocking it out the park, doesn't he? Apart from the slightly ambitious Tenet to blot his copybook, I've loved most of what he's done.

A worthy winner of multiple BAFTA gongs too... I wonder what we'll see next from him.

LOL, it's not a fucking turing test  Not at all, but it’s certainly showing how pointless Captcha is.. Two years ago it was complicated and expensive to build an ML platform to interpret Captchas. It's not any more. That's all it is. Captchas like that have _always_ been easy to overcome by so...
