The primary purpose of rtb is and has always been about pushing public assets into private ownership.
I'd much rather see the government put some proper investment into social housing development than this. A secured council tenancy is a much better option for long term living imo.

Re: Fart tax.
Not going to rant about it but the flippant "fart tax" reporting of this has been bugging me , it's been well known for years that methane from animal farming has a big impact on climate change.
Re: Hagerty
I subbed to their youtube channel.
A lot of interesting videos about engine building and restoration in general. They put out a huge amount of content though so it can feel a bit spammy when you're going through your subs.

Re: Supercar Definition
I'd say hypercar is a valid descriptor for those limited run halo cars. Very rare, very fast, very expensive, should have some experimental tech that'll go wrong and turn it into a garage ornament in 20 years

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
It was definitely good for the landlords who are now renting ex council houses to people waiting on the council lists.
Re: Westfield
How's your Westfield doing Nef? Still doing the aero experiments?

Re: Supercar Definition
Yeah I'd disagree with the limited availability thing.
The car that coined the phrase was a production model and I'd say the halo models moved past supercar territory in the 90s.
Supercars are (to me)
Fast - these days that means 200+mph and around 3 secs to 60
wide, low and impractical
mid engined

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
The only perceived benefit of right to buy is getting people on the home ownership treadmill, if the buy back isn't at whatever the future market value is you'd be as well to stay on a secured tenancy.

Loved the GT4 in that colour.
Interesting that Jethro is doing stuff for Evo again, I wonder if he'll go back to the US at any point. I really like the stuff he did for Motortrend.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Ah clever having the turbos mounted like that so they’re in the airflow along the side of the car and have an easy(ish) path into the intake manifold.
Usually big twin turbo LS builds have them hung wide at the front and duct air from the headlight opening.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Is it an LS? Fitting a V8 that big with turbos etc into that footprint must’ve taken some engineering. Must be running around 1000bhp too.

Reminds me of the time that our bus ran out of diesel leaving Beamish on a school trip.
We blocked the road for about an hour while we scrounged up diesel and the driver and my dad bled the fuel system

Re: NHS Bureaucracy
I think it's the case of an organisation that's been running for a long time without having a bottom up overhaul. Departments patch fix problems and add new services/apps on top of old ones until the whole thing is a precariously stacked pile of contradictions. You see this in both private and publi...
