Re: Decent car YouTubes
Doesn’t everyone? I don’t like his delivery but I started to actively dislike him when he made all that stupid fuss about wanting to buy a Ferrari (IIRC) which wasn’t up to standard. He wasn’t ripped off, he just made a real tit of himself about it. And the ‘whacky’ shirts https://static.wikia.noco...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Drove the 928 down to the 928.org meet at The Merry Miller in Abingdon. 350 mile round trip and the car ran faultlessly. Now all the meets are done, I'm going to start working my way through the job list. The driver's door window has mysteriously stopped working. I took the door card off and the mot...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Got the cluster back in and everything works perfectly. New gear indicator lights look amazing, much better than the incandescent bulbs. Video quality isn't the best as the phone camera doesn't do a good job of compensating for the brightness.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Desoldered the incandescent gear indicator lights (the 'D' bulb had blown) and replaced them with LEDS. Tested them via the connector and they all work perfectly. I also cleaned up the 3 edge connectors and the mounting for the fuel gauge. Cluster is back together now and I'll put it back in the car...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Finally got round to pulling the instrument cluster on the 928 to fix the odometer and convert the shift indicator lights to LEDs (D bulb is gone). Someone's clearly been in before me as when I removed the cluster, 4 of the 4 retaining bolts were missing and 2 out of the 3 connectors had broken lock...

Re: Russell Brand’s Career…
Part of the underlying issue in this country though seems to be how allegations of rape are handled by police and courts - it can be difficult for victims to even be taken seriously and the conviction rate is also very low, so often victims just don't come forward in the first place. So maybe it do...

Re: Bully XL
Bullshit knee jerk reaction. It's always the owners fault, not the dogs. Certain breeds attract certain types of owners as Dave pointed out, first it was Alsatians, then Dobermans, then Staffies. A dog owned and trained by a cunt is likely to end up with a cunty dog.

Car insurance madness
Got the renewal through for the 928. £173, about £50 more than last year but still the cheapest I could find. Checked the renewal and realised the value needed to be increased due to the respray and I also needed to declare the 3 points I recently picked up (SP30). So I rang them, told them about ev...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Went to my local TIPEC meet last night at The Motorist in the 928. I was surprised by the amount of attention it got, including a pair of young lads who didn't even know what it was! Decided to go out for a drive with some of the guys to put some reliability miles on it. About 45 minutes in, I lost ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Found a small fuel leak at the back of the 928. Luckily, it was coming from the fuel filter which sits next to the fuel pump under its own little access panel. 2 10mm bolts and the whole assembly hinges down. Loosened the filter and re-tightened and job's a good 'un. Another advisory free MOT. It's ...

Re: My clean licence
That's points territory, isn't it? Well above being invited to a "course". Edit: to help you avoid temptation you'd better park the 928 down here with me. I'll take good care of it. I fully expect points- course would be an unexpected bonus but I'm not hopeful. I was driving the Boxster a...

Yep. NIP this morning from Tuesday evening. 49 in a 30. I noticed the van, but the back of the van was pointing the towards oncoming traffic on other side of the road, but they were obviously sat in front with the camera.

Re: Parky
Fun fact - Parky could have been my uncle. He was obsessed with my aunty and would ride his bike over from Cudworth to Grimethorpe where she lived to try and get him to go out with her. She reckoned "He was a bit of a prat".
