Re: Best Angry Neighbour Letter
That has to be a pisstake surely... Written it in monosyllabic terms and then feed it into a Thesaurus App with the "flowery setting" set to 11 ?? I did think so until he yelled at a neighbour yesterday for walking via the access road past his property claiming the access road was h...

Re: Best Angry Neighbour Letter
Oh and he has four exit points. A front door, and three side doors. So not sure why he needs to fit through a sash window in the event of an emergency!

Best Angry Neighbour Letter
This has to be up there as one of the best written angry neighbour letters ever written. I'm not sure if he's done it as a joke or just got over excited with a Jane Austin period thesaurus. I've met him several times and he isn't well spoken and not the type you'd expect to write something like this...

Re: The Elise Thread
I have a garage but have far too much stuff in it to make enough space (Mrs Holley has a double wardrobe for winter/summer clothes rotation, horse stuff etc).
Would love one and they are fantastic value.

Re: The Elise Thread
Matt Prior of Autocar is currently running a standard 1998 Elise that's been loaned to him from a friend. Even with just 118bhp he's loving it. Will surely be one of those cars we'll all moan about in years to come for not buying when they were £15k. They hit as low as £6k at one point. I paid just...

Re: Harry’s Garage
I couldn't buy a £80k sports car where the engine has been detuned from a £60k hatch. Seeing as the price is similar to the V6, they should have just kept it at 420hp. Some would have bought the V6 anyway just because it's a manual. Better still, they should up it to 500hp then it would offer someth...

Re: Networking
Went to BNI for a while back in 2009. As mentioned by @jobbo, it seemed to be great for the accountants and business card printers, however for us it really didn't work. As for networking as practice of creating a wider network of connections, I do a fair amount of it. That involves reaching out to...

Re: Networking
I was shunted into doing BNI at a previous job. I managed to make sure a colleague was the designated member; I just stood in for him once a month or so. While I wasn't particularly keen on getting up and promoting the business, it became easier and easier to the point where I stopped preparing and...

Networking
Does anyone do this for work? Just finished doing 2 years networking at a local BNI group. Never heard of it before going and only started because a friend kept inviting me. I found it hard because I'm quite introvert and get social anxiety around large groups. Having to stand up and do public speak...

Re: What does dinny mean?
Dinny (Urban Dictionary) - Someone who has become mentally deranged. He went dinny. You can visit him in the mental hospital. (Probably derived from Romany "dinlo")
Re: EV Thread
Yep. Only way to increase range is fit bigger batteries, only way to fit bigger batteries without compromising interior space is stick them under the floor raising the whole thing up. Mind you, the fake suv thing has been going on for a good few years now anyway, the electric revolution just makes ...

Re: Decent car YouTubes
Had heard of The Pembleton before so was keen to see a video of one. Like it a lot, but would be hard to walk passed Caterham and buy one of these instead. Although appreciate it has a different kind of appeal.
Re: EV Thread
I like the Caterham, but I'm a bit worried about who's actually going to buy it for all the reasons above. I'm sure by the time it's released there'll be more and more offerings by the likes of Porsche and Lotus in the £80k segment, they'll probably have better range and performance. It'll have to ...

Re: Noble M500
Who would ever consider this over a GT3 (even a used one)?
I get Radical's, Ultima's etc as at least they have a USP.
The only USP the Noble seems to have is it's overpriced for what you get

Re: Mortgages
Our neice in a two bedroom 400k flat in London is not happy as their fix ends later this year. Are interest only options available @holley Criteria for Interest Only relatively strict. There needs to be at least £250k equity with most lenders, 50-75% LTV and most have a minimum income requirement (...
