I mean, that, and >20 year old fairly specialised turbo engine - it's probably gonna want a little more care and attention than a Focus turbo diesel.

Christ, a £25k 996 Turbo sure seems like a great way to singlehandedly support your local porsche indy.

Re: Why are road trips so alluring?

The only redemption would if I made a YouTube video called "I bought the cheapest Smart car on eBay and drove to Italy for a pizza    " and hope it goes viral so that the monetisation pays for the suffering inflicted by driving. “My brother bought the cheapest Ferrari...

Re: And then there was none..

The thing with these schemes is that if you're wealthy enough to buy in you're wealthy enough to buy or rent the car so in effect they're pointless. I imagine at least part of the appeal is that you don't have to even consider maintenance, MOT, insurance, etc or any annoying part of the ownership e...

Re: Decent Recent TV

Seems to have 'decently mid' reviews by critics, although user reviews on the standard meta review sites are being bombed and counter bombed by the usual "it's woke the women are strong does that make them trans??!??11/" types, and then the suck up fallout fanboys saying it's perfect in ev...

Re: Motorway Mile Munchers

No-one seems to be taking my Mondeo suggestion on board... Paging @tim and @Beany I mean, I literally suggested the newer version of a TitX (because I'm sure The Family Sales would perish at the thought of a 2008 car on the drive) earlier in the thread: Last of the line Mondeo Vignale? It's a motor...

I think by now most of them have either failed and been scrapped, failed and been fixed, or never were going to and never are going to fail. They're 15-20 year old cars now, etc. times marching on Beany - M3s could be 18-24 years old - and cooking e46s could be almost 27 years old! There were plent...

Re: Decent Recent TV

Aside, the Fallout TV show is being pulled forward to today on Amazon Prime, 6pm PT, whatever the fuck a PT is. Some kind of timezone that no fucker other than a californian exec would use I guess. I might binge it over the weekend and see if, as per most videogame to screen transitions, it's laugha...

Re: Motorway Mile Munchers

Last of the line Mondeo Vignale?

It's a motorway hack for doing 500 miles a week in, not an event car etc. New enough to not shit itself every five minutes like a Phaeton etc, comfy enough to not be a chore on the shitty road network we have left. There's no reason to get too fancy.

They're a flat earth, chemtrail believing antivaxxer with some odd opinions on Judiasm bordering on antisemitism.

Remember, a lot - and I mean a lot - of conspiracy theories end up at 'the jews done it' when you get down to the core of them.

Re: Parking space widths

Well, your 1er is based on e90 running gear which was the newer bigger 3 series after the e46 so not a massive surprise 😄 I would have assumed going from E to F series would be a completely new, ground up floorpan rather than a parts bin special across generations, but then I stopped paying attenti...
