Re: Your fleet running reports
Important distinction being that copper grease is full of particulates. Same reason that using it on fist-type caliper sliders is an absolute no-no, but backs of pads is fine due to good stickability. For all this stuff if the manufacturer doesn't do something, don't do the opposite, given they spen...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Yes that is definitely a misfire. If not a coil pack then it might just be a duff plug - it does happen. Even little things like if the mechanic accidentally drops the plug when fitting and closes the gap can make a big difference. Or simply fouled given you don't do many miles. However I'd go with ...

Re: Drugs, (and absurd job updates)
CEO asked me today to teach someone else how to program the company web-based database. It took a couple of years for me to learn all the techniques involved, six months to build and a dozen years to perfect. I finish on Friday and am scheduled to be in the office for 1.5 days this week. The person ...

Re: Drugs, (and absurd job updates)
WD Bean. I have 7 working days left at my place, hoping to only be in the office for a few of those (mostly to make use of the excellent behemoth shredder so I can digitise and get rid of 25 years of old household paperwork). Handing over to some IT outsourcing company. Hope they're going to insist ...

Took ours out for a swim and pub lunch, he was fine before it got too hot. Quick 2k walk this evening after it had dropped to sub-20.
Re: Nip nip
A bit unlucky but definitely the reason I rarely go above an indicated 77-78 on mways these days, 'real' speed 73-ish.

Yeah I also get the aggressive FB marketing, but then bodyshop guy mentioned it independently, maybe he got spammed too! He's going to check into it. Easier for him to gun it on than me crawling around on the driveway with a pump spray.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Anyone used Lanoguard for underbody sealing? I need to do the X-Trail before it's exposed to the Islay elements for x number of years. I don't want to use a bitumen-style Waxoyl product that then makes any future car maintenance a horror show.

Re: Stupid soundbar/telly question
3.5mm to BT5 transmitters are about a fiver but if you want a new telly just go to hotukdeals and have a look for a samsung or hisense, they're absolutely fine but no idea if they have BT out.

Re: Drugs, (and absurd job updates)
Looks like I could end up with two very different job opportunites. 2nd interview at a local financial services company this week, 15k basic pay uplift. Then up to Islay on the 8th for a 2nd interview where I'm the preferred candidate, 10k uplift. So a safe option or a remote island lifestyle type o...

TG2:Mav, me and the wife both enjoyed. Utter nonsense just like the OG, fine by me. I think they shoehorned in every quotable line from TG, too.
