Re: Coronavirus

I had the misfortune os watching ITV news at ten last night. For whatever reason they had decided to really notch up their END_OF_THE_WORLD_ISNIGH rhetoric to 11eventy. Lots of 'world has changed forever today'..type of stuff. Proper fear-mongering. The virus itself doesn't worry me. The effect that...

Re: Coronavirus

Off to the races with the kids today. Surprised that it's still going ahead tbh. Pretty sure it'd be cancelled a week further down the line.

Always gone with the FIL in previous years. He's isolating himself though as is 70 with a heart condition. I don't blame him.

Re: Bat soup/Wuhan

I went into a dissociative trance to figure all this out and am now happy to confirm that the CCP released the virus intentionally. Largely but not entirely as a result of western support for the HK protests (which you won't hear about anymore). They wanted to ensure that the world knows that Chines...

Re: Mardy teenagers

Had a phone call at 2.30am last night from a random stranger. He'd found my eldest (18) collapsed on the side of the road and had managed to open his phone and call me. Turns out my son had been ejected from a nightclub for being pissed (he'd fallen over). He then tried to get back in in order to ge...

Re: 2020 LR Defender

I very much doubt that many of these DEFENDERS will be bought by the M.O.D  I'd happily try one but I do think that owning such an expensive off-road toy would prove too frustrating for the enthusiast however capable they are. Strangely, unlike the old model, I think reliability will be key to ...

RIP Not so fond memories of having to drive a Commodore (VR IIRC) full of old drunk blokes, whilst absolutely pissed myself and having been travelling for 48 hours straight, around Christchurch to their various residences after a works Christmas party back in '94. I could barely function but they th...

So I guess this thread isn't about Philip Schofield then.
I suspect he's only saying it so Holly Willoughby will share a dressing room with him.

People that don't eat the knobby

What's wrong with them? Personally I find that the extra cohesive strength afforded by the layer of crust allows for greater loading of peanut butter & honey on the soft side. So many times I shove an explorative fist into the bag and it goes all the way in before I find two rejected knobbies at...

If you're stealing wood then deffo get a battery one.

The stihl ones are pretty good to use and the batteries, which lat well, are interchangeable with other tools.

Petrol and no PPE if you want to impress the ladies of course.

Yeah, kinda dirty looking too. She's not bright though and is possibly a nasty piece of work. Been a lobbyist for both fags and booze in the past.
