Re: Pilchards

Can't think of any foods that properly repel me, but sparkling water is absolutely hideous and I spit it out pronto if I've accidentally bought sparkling instead of still  (Requote at will chaps) What's wrong with sparkling water? It is just bubbly water! I love it. Having almost completely cu...

Re: What.Three.Words

Alex, I see they offer Danish as a language for the 3 words. So as a test, where does ///busser.reoler.oplæser take you? That'll be off the B4217 in Moseley in Birmingham - is that the address of the curry house we went to? One of the changes I could think of to make it more sensible is some kind o...

Re: Higher income child benefit charge

We've never claimed, but had to register as claiming nothing (once for each child, no ability for them to recognise that if I don't claim for the first child and have not notified them of a change in conditions I'm not going to claim for subsequent sprogs). ISTR that it can otherwise impact on the c...

Re: What.Three.Words

I can see some merit in the idea, but not as it is currently implemented.

Needs a rethink to make it sensible.

Can't fault your commitment to the highest mileage E36 M3 in the world (you still retain the title I assume).

Looks a good result to me.

On principle I refuse to watch any "reality" TV. Just don't see the allure of watching people being idiots (irrespective of whether the answer is yes/yes/yes or not).

Good effort. No way to flag the Muppet or is it down as a racing incident?

Re: It's the weekend

Seems odd that you only swim with your kids individually. They're organised lessons, normally one after the other, but the pool that we use is closed for refurbishment over the summer, so based on interest from the parents they've cancelled one class (for the eldest, so I take him to the local leis...

Re: It's the weekend

Tomorrow: wife's cousin's priesting in Guildford. Followed by barbeque.

Sunday: swimming with the eldest in the morning, then fun day (with barbeque) at the local church, then swimming with the middle one in the afternoon. Then watch the race/highlights.

Ghostbusters (2016).

Not funny, not scary, not really anything except a bit meh.

A few expected cameos and that's about it for interest.

Somehow managed to miss this....WTF!?! Well, my bucket seats don't adjust or recline in any way, and my roll cage has a substantial "X" brace. Here's a pic: rib.jpg So I was trying to crawl over the top of the seats and through the top part of the "X", and stretching to reach th...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Not entirely fleet news, but due to a car accident I seem to have cracked a rib. I was trying to get to the rear wiper motor in the Porsche. Thanks to fixed buckets seats & a roll cage this turns out to be impossible for someone of my size. Ouch. Somehow managed to miss this....WTF!?! GWSYSC :l...

Dipped beam bulb blew on the Galaxy. I replaced it (the bulb, not the car). Here ends the excitement.

Must remember to buy new lid for washer filler neck.

Should clean it.

Dare I ask how parking a rusty snotter is meant to help?

You'll probably just find it on bricks with (more) unspeakable stains all over the interior.
