Re: 5g

I'm also interested in this but with the rate of roll out, relatively low coverage and early phones/contracts still being relatively higher priced I'm holding off switching.

Re: Ineos Grenadier (not dead)

Land Cruisers don’t sell here anyway. It’s a shame that they’ve moved the defender so far away from what it was. 1) Yes they do, they've sold LC's here for decades! https://www.toyota.co.uk/new-cars/land-cruiser/ 2) The LC and Defender are sold all over the world, not just in the UK ;) 3) The...

i wonder how our standard 2.4m wide carpark spaces compare to the rest of the world?
Parking space size has been a problem for years, the Defender isn't bringing anything new.

Re: Lego

Hopefully into the hands of someone in the Far East who can make replica sets. It's been released in some NZ and Vietnamese shops already. They are out there. Scanned instructions if you want to make your own: https://www.dropbox.com/s/i8dqwm2gcqjsj7g/42113%20Instruction.pdf?dl=0&fbclid=IwAR2TS...

Re: Mountain Biking general thread

I was in Lincolnshire last week for a few days so took my bike. I did a couple of rides of around 25 miles each with less than 40ft of elevation :D Edit to add context - a 10 mile ride from my front door is over 1000ft Same here, although I don’t live in a valley it’s undulating hills and nothing i...

Fine then, don’t sell it in Germany but do sell it everywhere else  “ The German Peace Society organized a petition to halt LEGO’s production, and combined with broader questions from the LEGO fan community over LEGO’s licensing of this military aircraft, LEGO has today made the decision to ha...

Re: Ineos Grenadier (not dead)

To be fair, it’s 200mm wider than the old one and about 200mm longer, so not a huge difference. I can’t find figures for the rear wheel on though as that may be messing up the perception of it as it’s a bloody big wheel and tyre combo. Dave! I'll grant you it may be the overall design (thicker pill...

They aren’t. Park one next to an old defender and you’ll see it’s quite deceptive, they’re a bit bigger but it’s no Mini -> BMW Mini

Tonight I managed 31.5 miles in just under 3 hours, if you lot can do better I don’t care * 8-) I once rode further than that, circa 34 miles if my memory serves me correctly, but that was on completely flat ground whereas tonight had lots of hills 8-) :D

* I do really, top darts folk 8-)

Re: Used Boxsters - Talk to me....

Had to pop to the local farm shop with the girl tonight and it turned in to a very long drive just for the hell of it which is something I’ve not done in a very, very long time. It’s all about the handling and the cornering isn’t it? Had a whale of a time at sensible speeds. What tyres are people r...

I’m guessing that it was a better race Watched on highlights? I liked how Stroll has a great drive after our week of bashing him! We’ll never know what that car would be like with Verstappen or Hamilton in it! Well, we might get Vettel in it next year. With the years of SV memes “oh lord won’t you ...

Dave, you can get SCX10 mk1 or mk II’s used for good money and they hold their value. Might be worth looking at one of those rather than splashing out for a new one.

Staying loosely on the F1 theme, has anyone else noticed how lovely Claire Williams eyes are? The fact that she is wearing a mask now just draws more attention to them. I'll get me coat... I noticed that too. Speaking of face coverings someone has give Toto Wolff an Arnold Schwarzenegger one, one o...

Re: Kids Tamiya RC

Glad to hear the motor arrived safely, you never know when you send hermes LOL! Spoke to a lad at the weekend who does 'scalers', he has some very detailed 4x4's that aren't fast and basically crawl along over rough terrain like a full size one. They just basically take long walks in the hills and ...
