Re: Real Housewife of Cheshire

I don't understand what a Velar is, in RR terms, but it looks suitably gangsta so well done.

If you can bring the assembly indoors and dry it out thoroughly, some superglue will probably sort it without needing to split it. Dribble the glue along the seams where it might be leaking. Capillary action will draw it in (you can buy super glue in different viscosities for exactly this) and beca...

Re: Lego

Jobbo is this a genuine investment strategy or are you just lazy?! What’s your exit strategy for this mountain of sealed sets?

My gf and her kids are planning a NYE lego session, currently trying to decide what would be a good multi person kit to build. Maybe titanic or Eifel Tower

Re: Your fleet running reports

I’ve been using their wheel cleaner for years it’s good stuff but do wash it off the centre caps in good time. I reckon it’s what lead to my Skoda centres deteriorating as they did.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Made the 600 mile trip to visit my folks in SW France last week, the old Mondeo was as nigh on perfect as you’d want on that trip. Super quiet, average mpg actually went up, sits at 130 kph with easy roll-on speed available. Loads of room for the kids. Lovely. It’s mad hot here, mid to high 30s, and...

Ah that’s shit, sorry to see. Hope you had a good birthday anyway. You may have a Bentley with a cracked window but at least you’re not a theiving crack-head.

I've just been booked on business class BA to Miami in december. It's on an A380 so I hope it's decent, given the cost (to someone else lol)

Re: The Holiday French.

I was in Châteauroux a couple of months ago. Everyone was friendly except a pretty French girl who refused to understand my mate’s French! His accent wasn’t that bad! She was very angry with the world (threw her iPhone across the bar, shouted at other guests and bollocked some bloke for being late ...

In better news; I just changed the oil filters and plugs in an hour. Bikes really are piss easy to work on. Will do the shaft drive oil and brake pads tomorrow lunchtime. Also; Steve I don't know what it is you do to afford this fine stable of automobiles, but I suspect you're wasted on that, when y...

BMW R1250RT LE BestBikeInTheWorld Edition Update slash Rant Needs a service. It's a big 'un, but lots of the jobs I can easily do myself. Re: FAO Tim

It took me a while to work it out, the Nav DVD slot is hidden behind the plastic trim that covers the volume knob under the screen. It's spring-loaded and pops out quite easily, with the slot and an eject button.

It's actually not terrible as a nav system. I do use it over Waze sometimes.

Re: FAO Tim

First thing I did was spend £30 on a 2022 satnav dvd, so that was very easily updatable!

My mate who owned it previous fitted a little rechargeable bluetooth widget that plugs into the aux in in the glovebox

Interesting idea. The overall system in my TittyX is not bad given it's 2008 vintage.
