Re: The Weather Thread.

Also noticed that mosquitos never really died off this year. Reckon it'll be a pretty bad year for being bitten!

Re: The Weather Thread.

I've realised the mild wet weather is shit for animals outside. So many mites and fleas about, I guess the weather hasn't been cold enough to kill them off this winter.

Re: Cayman/Boxter RIP.

This line from the article is quite something "We could, therefore, see manufactures buying back and scrapping old cars so they don’t have to keep supporting them, once the paperwork submitted for WP.29 certification expires 10 years after the end of production." Remember, these are the sa...

Re: Teh Spotted Thread

I used to frequently see a morbidly obese chap who would wedge himself into an Alfa Spider from the 90's, it was a comedic sight and the poor Alfa was always leaning to the right, probably sitting on it's bumpstops. Also another observation which I may have mentioned before, it seems like every new ...

Re: EV Thread

It's surely far smaller than a 5 series.
Almost 200kg more than a dual motor Model 3 (ignoring the single motor Model 3 because it has a smaller battery).
Edit, recently discontinued Model 3 long range RWD was 1735kg

Pretty sure traffic lights for pedestrians are only advisory, otherwise we’d have some silly jaywalking rules? Then it’ll come back down to vulnerability of users.

I really like the styling on these, I just find it odd that they have relatively average range for that styling.

Re: Cayman/Boxter RIP.

Given that the entire electrical system is the same as the 911 - this sounds like an odd decision. Maybe they're just trying to maximise the ICE 911 profits for the last few years of production? 992.2 launches later this year with hybrid tech.. if the elec system is the same, I don’t think they’d b...

If any model from Porsche should be banned for piss poor cybersecurity surely it's the Macan as I've personally known 2 people who have had them stolen.

Re: Your fleet running reports

I use an old jump starter with integrated air compressor for most things, I just replaced the battery in it a few weeks ago, £25 and hopefully it lasts another 10 years.

Re: Euromillions immediate purchase

Ha, I’ve thought about this too much because our woodlands has a village 3 miles away which has a prick living in it who is pretty similar to Gavsters neighbour in terms of having far too much time on their hands and being a nuisance. Current record is calling the police whenever someone is cutting ...

Re: Full Fibre

I’ve had full fibre for many years with Hyperoptic, 1gbps which it actually does when I do a Speedtest through my PC which is connected via Ethernet, otherwise WiFi is about a quarter of that. And no, I don’t need 1gbps but whenever I go to renew my contract after 2 years they give me this for the s...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

Under the new priority system pedestrians always have right of way. The red man signal for pedestrians merely alerts them to the fact they should be more cautious. Technically under the new system traffic lights for pedestrians and pedestrian crossings are almost irrelevant as a pedestrian stepping ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Oh yeah and the rear wash doesn't work on the 135i, and apparently checking the motors is a wheel off, inner arch out, entire wing off job. Think I'll live with a mucky rear screen for now  I assume you've tried just cleaning the jets? :P I'm not getting a response from the motor when trying t...

Re: Harry’s Garage

I thought I was misremembering so searched the original article https://www.ezpowersteering.nl/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/octane2.pdf The retrofit electric steering system just sat on the rack and if turned off was meant to be no different to not having the system. But you could turn it on at low sp...
