Re: RFPs
Hahahahahahahahahaha I laugh in the face of your puny shenanigans. Work permits on an oil rig, it took me an hour to get a hot work permit, extinguisher, fire watchman, all to drill about 10 aluminium rivets out. Next job I used a chisel. Lifting plans, all very pretty and then get thrown aside as s...

Re: Marriage
Well as bad as things get, being alone does give you chance to concentrate on masterbation. My friend split up with his wife of many years last year. Now has a baby on the way but his Mustang engine blew up, so ying and yang. So, using this wise and meaningful logic, you probably have some great wan...

Re: Marriage
Awful news
Being married can be hard work and just being in love isn’t always enough.
Hope it is a smooth process whatever happens.

Re: Raised bonnet hinges
Unless you know the air pressure under the bonnet though the high pressure area at the base of the screen doesn’t matter. As long as it is a lower pressure than under the bonnet.
Just playing devils advocate.

Re: Ryanair
Oh and JLIC of course. Norway is such a wonderful country. Perhaps the best. Seriously. And I've been to what feels like most of them! 'til they take your kids off you. I was about to type that this morning but thought "nah! Probably not the place to get into the darker side of Norway" Th...

Re: Raised bonnet hinges
Is this not completely dependant on the car and speed it runs at ? Surely what happens with the air at 100mph is different to 150 ? Also, don't some cars have issues getting air out of the engine bay? I fitted a 300mm X 300mm louvred panel in my 500e under tray and it runs noticeably cooler on B-Roa...

That car is screaming for banded deep dish steels, a red top on 45s for noise and a flashing blue beacon by the rear diff for making burnouts look cool!!

Re: Ladders
At 20 stone I find most ladders a pain. I happily go up them but a better ladder is needed really.
Luckily my friend is a window cleaner and now I just borrow his, no flex, it has a leg for support on the bottom and I could jump up and down on it without it moving.

Re: Road users these days
I mainly drive the Landy where I've removed the passenger seat and made a set up so that Flash can have his bed there. Far fewer idiots contacting you while driving then.

Re: Ryanair
Norwegian are great, good bonus points and excess baggage charges are sensible. Also when you have a problem you can speak to a human.
Ryanair are a state, RR banned us from using them due to such high excess charges and lots of extra fees.

Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
Dog attacks are strange ones, only the bigger/more powerful biting ones get recorded. Flash was attacked outside a tea room on the way to the pet shop, small Yorkie clamped onto his lip as he went down to sniff. Owner thought it funny but me less so, stupid but. Second was on a walk, the dog kept ha...

They are also lovely, it’s a conundrum.

Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
What's the dog owners view on your pets in this heat ??? There was a local carnival here this weekend and the amount of vitriol aimed at those poor unfortunate people who took their dogs is staggering. an example was "Why don't you put your Biggest Winter Coat, take off your shoes and then run...

Off to Cromer in Norfolk this weekend and will then try and get another week of camping before Maxwell starts school.
We are both dreading school holiday times but will see how far away from people we can be.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Defender - runs lovely still but needs a few jobs now after years of abuse. Drivers side rear chassis leg has a bit of rot by the spring hanger which I need to decide how to repair. Either a good patch or a chassis leg. 236,000 miles. ML500 - going well and still enjoying it. A slight noise upon sta...

Monster Jam in Cardiff on Saturday with the kids. I think, no, I AM more excited than they are! Forgot you went to this. Took the kids, the pit pass wasn’t worth it but the event was awesome! My eldest was knackered so fell asleep after the races but my youngest was doing the 80s fist pump at the s...
