Re: Ryanair

Remember when BA used to be a significantly better LCC alternative, usually the same price as EasyJet or RyanAir but with food and drink included. Not so anymore, sadly

Re: Decent Recent TV

I’ve just got into Better Call Saul

Half way through season 1 and really enjoying it. I could probably do without the flash back scenes, but it’s a good way to flesh out characters.

So far, a very worthy BB spin-off

Am I right in thinking that if you buy the game digitally for Windows you get it on Xbox and vice versa? (Using the same Live account)

Re: New iPhones

Fingerprint reading seems a much better thing for Apple Pay than Face ID. I don't mind Face ID in principle; my Surface Pro does it for logging in. The thing I dislike about the X is the notch at the top of the screen. I’ve used a X since launch Face ID is much better and faster now since when it l...

I couldn’t be doing with those weird little details/gaps where the strap and watch meet - rubber straps need to be specific to the model or just like a leather one imo. https://image.ibb.co/eLcriz/23487526_3590_4_AC8_B836_BF5_BFC454089.jpg https://i.imgur.com/pXTPHUm.jpg Similar to mine, except min...

Watch the The Sarah Connor Chronicles if you haven't already. Lena is great as Sarah, under all the weight of knowing what is coming for her son (and the world). I loved The Sarah Connor Chronicles. It was a really interesting story, good action and an interesting take on the lore There’s a new Ter...

Re: Networking your home

We’re moving towards a more and more wireless world, with the wireless tech improving all the time I should think running networking cabling in a home (rather than an office with pretend ceilings and walls) will get messy and expensive, fast Better to invest the same time and money and better wirele...

Re: Cars that don’t exist any more

My first car was a Renault 5. There used to be loads of them about.

Presumably they’ve all been crashed by teenagers now or scrapped for engine problems which weren’t worth fixing

Re: Lord Metcalf’s 007 Spectre Defender

I can't remember the exact story but wasn't it that Harry's one was built by svo as a road going homage to the film vehicles where as andys was one of the actual film vehicles which he then had made road legal. I think Maybe From the listing... Unlike most of the other Spectres, which were used onl...

My wife and her brother are currently arguing because she tried to help him book a holiday and he’s booked his return flights to Glasgow instead of Manchester (because they were the cheapest) and they’re blaming each other. The train tickets cost more than the return flights and it takes 4 hours. H...

Re: Swapping SSD from old laptop to new

Do you actually have useful info on the old drive?

I don’t save anything useful locally. I guess mostly because I don’t do any work stuff on my laptop. That said, even if I did, I think it’d be on google drive or whatever
