Re: 2023 Events - what's worthwhile?
I'm always amazed by how fresh the S1 Elise looks. They never improved on the styling (Apart from S1 Exige obvz).
Re: Food Fred
Aye, we strip the jar to it's components and put it through the dishwasher between batches. We tend to buy a few cabbages at a time. we'll then make enough Kimchi to fill the jar and any leftover cabbage goes into Okonomiyaki. You're seasoning looks similar to ours too, we don't use fish sauce but e...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement
I don't know why I'm so concerned tbh, I haven't fallen off my bike in 20 years and I've never hit anyone on it. I'd hate to see anyone, cyclist or driver go to jail due to a ped not paying attention I guess.
Re: Food Fred
Homemade Kimchi is the best. I have a problem with slimy food so the jarred ones can be hit or miss, but we can never wait more than a day or two to start digging into ours so it's still crunchy
Re: Beer Fred
It's the colour at the bottom, Guinness should have enough body to stop any light going through

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement
Obviously in a straight hit between me on my bike (110kg moving at 20 mph ish) and a ped they'll come off worse, what I meant by risk is that if I have to swerve into traffic to avoid something the risk to me of being hit by something order of magnitude bigger goes up. Like I say, I'm not against th...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement
I'm not totally convinced yet tbh, the line of who's at more risk between a ped and a cyclist isn't as defined as a ped or cyclist and a car. Like, if someone steps off a pavement without looking, causing me to swerve to avoid them and get hit by a car, that's an accident. If I hit the person instea...
Re: Food Fred
My partner makes Kimchi, it seems like a doddle tbh. Just prep the veg and leave it in a kilner jar to do it's thing.

Re: Today’s want
I'd assume that if you buy the engine and gearbox from BMW it's a sealed unit for warranty. It would explain why Ineos keep the BMW shifter too.
I like most of that morgan, everything but the wheels and the already discussed interior mistakes.

I made bread last night. I’m officially as civilised as neolithic man. IMG_1020.jpeg They look very good! Had awesome flatbread with aubergine hummus at Double Red Duke today.. Any tips on how to make a good flatbread? Honestly, my first attempt at any type of bread so I’m still figuring it out mys...

Ah that’s disappointing.DeskJockey wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 5:41 pm @ZedLeg it starts out quite hoppy on the palate with some bitterness. That quickly fades, leaving not much flavour behind. It isn't unpleasant, but too bland for my liking. Won't buy again.
Almost feel like a low fizz sparkling water with a faint beer flavour.
Re: Dangerous beers...
I'd be interested in an update if anyone finds a low alc beer they like tbh. I don't have them often but sometimes you just crave that taste. I've spent the last few months trying all the low/no alcohol beers I can find in the main supermarkets and there's been one very, very clear winner, Athletic...
Re: Food Fred
Mostly conspiracy, there's a grain of truth to it but the risks are massively overblown and if you eat relatively healthily you probably won't have any issues.
Re: Beer Fred
Ah cool, I never even thought to check Mikeller for low alc tbh. I thought they would've been too small batch to bother with one.
Re: Beer Fred
Oh, I'd be interested in the Mikeller either way tbh. Was always a fan of their beers, what's it called?
Re: EV Thread
Joe Biden himself said that a 100% tariff on China would only hurt Americans when Trump brought it up.

Good work on the mock tudor catio Jobbo.
Re: EV Thread
It's pretty stupid to build your economy on offshoring almost all manufacturing to china then complain that it's hurting your economy tbh.
