Re: RR Cullinan
Goodwood just put a video up; it looks much more impressive in video. I’m guessing the design has to hide plenty of things and be capable of being armoured.

And Duncs, I saw a tangerine A6 diesel near me last week ... I guess he was trying to say it was an estate Lamborghini or something?

Re: What new old car - Audi A2 v. Mk1 Renault Twingo
Welcome to the forum Robin. I like the 2CV, cos my granddad had one and it was the first car I was allowed to “spanner”. Actually, think it only took one spanner to do everything on that car.

Re: RR Cullinan
I've seen a few Bentaygas now and they look decent. Part of me wants one. Wife would love a Bentayga. I like them, but there are plenty of other things on the list before I’d spend that much on an SUV! The Rolls is very disappointing, but I guess UK taste is a very small consideration compared to h...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Popped front springs on. Nice & easy, you don't even need to fully remove the strut, drop the top mount down and there's just about enough space to wiggle them out. Popped the wheels back on, dropped it to the ground and popped some tyre black on to get rid of the traces of release agent and ty...

Re: Outdoor speakers
I think it’s a couple of issues with Bluetooth speakers - having to recharge them and not having the music continue as you go outside. I think they’d be powerful enough.

Outdoor speakers
My parents want some speakers for outdoors. They have mains power outside and want to fit weatherproof, permanent speakers that ideally will connect to the Sonos kit the have indoors. I hoped there were some speakers that would only require power and could connect wirelessly but nothing has jumped o...

C’mon... what else can you buy for a million quid that’d be better <insert pic of literally everything else>
Re: BBQs
That looks very good. I think I’ll try that on Monday bday. The grey reminds me of Graham’s 997; May just be the lighting though

Re: BBQs
That Weber only goes to 300oC, Zips. A proper kamodo goes over 400. And the ceramic is over an inch thick with a lifetime guarantee; you’d have to go some to break it. Also, 85kg round thing is ‘kin hard to lift and correctly position by yourself! 😂 BTW: Entire Aberdeen Angus fillet made good steaks...

Re: It's the weekend
BBQ tonight, then (free) bacon rolls/balms/baps at local pub tomorrow before a walk, then live music and local drinks trial in the afternoon. Friend’s 50th b’day tomorrow night and then I’ll bbq at my place Sunday/Monday/Tuesday to help sweat out the alcohol. I imagine I’ll try to ride and drive on ...
Re: BBQs
Tonight, I get to try a Pit Boss 24" Kamado Grill Ceramic BBQ, that my parents have bought. Looks good and hopefully will live up to expectations. I currently have a Broil-King gas bbq - brilliant for big parties/quick lunches/rotisserie etc, a Weber rectangular portable one - great for beach/a...

Re: The idle dreaming “what next” thread.
New M5 is 1.2s quicker to 100mph than a stock RS6 Rich. Autocar tested it in damp conditions and compared it to dry Audi figures so it might be even quicker like for like.. I’m looking at buying a GT3 (manual 997.2 ideally). Problem is, I’ve just told the wife we can spend a bit more on a new house ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
I too wonder if it needs to be decoked. Charlie did say it’s normal for M96/7 to be ‘under’, but DFI engines should be a lot better, and GT3s to be ‘over’, particularly RS. It’s horrible from cold and pogoes for 30 seconds when gently accelerating in first so I’m convinced it needs coil packs. I’ve...

Re: Leaze Deals
Mileage? I’d be going for 12k to be safe. Just found it. It was 0 down, 0% APR and £669 pcm, but for an M4. Sounds interesting but would be surprised if it allows 12k year. Link please? It was with Specialist Cars BMW - it appears to have been a deal that expired last weekend. They are still doing ...

Re: Leaze Deals
£25k'ish over 3 years for a brand new M3. Haven't looked to see how this compares to the depreciation on one but there are worse ways to spend £25k for sure. That doesn't sound too bad in the scheme of things? Spending £600-£700 a month on a car would have me checking to see lease costs on a 911 th...
