Re: EOTR on Golf and TTS (robbing b4stards)

Also, I agree with GG about getting an immobiliser. There's plenty out there - Ghost, Pandora, Viper.

Re: EOTR on Golf and TTS (robbing b4stards)

Really sorry to hear this, both. Gavin, perhaps invest in a Disklok if you get anything decent next time round. Especially if it's German/Ford/keyless. I know they can be taken off, but it isn't easy and the scum don't like to draw attention to themselves. Hence why they love pinching cars with rela...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

I don't really get cycling on public roads. If it's your only means of transport, fine, but the lycra-clad leisure riders, I don't understand it. Does it not feel fucking terrifying? Riding along a main road that's full of potholes and broken up tarmac, HGV's passing, incompetent drivers, getting a...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

Good point. Definitely the hardcore lot who brave the main roads, and all that comes with it. I'm genuinely curious as to the mentality and motivation to do it. I don't think my sense of self preservation would let me.. Hardcore? Is that what it has come to, that you should be foolhardy to cycle on...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Mustang needs its MOT in the next couple of weeks, so I gave it a quick look over. Front tyres are on the cords on the inner tread! Wasn't like that at the last MOT only 2k miles ago.. regardless, I'm a little annoyed with myself that I didn't spot it sooner. Live and learn. New set booked in for Mo...

Re: Coaster/YK

How unbelievably sad. Life has an incredible ability to be so insanely cruel sometimes. I spoke with him on the phone a couple of times in a work capacity, and I recall him congratulating me on a work promotion - I'd mentioned it on here in one of the end of year threads. I remember thinking he was ...

Thanks Mik. Old battery had both vent plugs removed so I just whipped them off the new battery too. It hasn't exploded yet 8-)

Cheers. It's in the engine bay so I'm going to remove both of them.

Car Battery question

I know this is a proper noob question, but I've just bought a new battery and it has some caps on the side of it; red and black. Do I take those off when I've fitted the battery?

There is also a small red vent tube that came with it.

Cheers :)

Re: Twitter

Oh ok, I thought they were actually loss making.

The MSE team emailed the Twatter press office about the impersonator, and got an auto reply of a shit emoji. Fitting!

They've since done some digging and managed to find an actual Twitter staffer for help. What a mess.

Re: Twitter

Martin Lewis is currently warning about someone impersonating him - there's a Martin Lewis blue tick account promoting crypto. Even retweets ML's own stuff! So, as the Chief Clown desperately tries to make a bit of profit after blowing billions on a loss making business (such a genius), Twitter will...

Re: For Sale: The Beast

Tremendous, unbeatable novelty value, and obviously a hell of a lot of work has gone into it, but I'm disappointed. It would be fair enough if it sounded Spitfire-y and was genuinely fast (surely that's the point), but it sounds broken and is quite slow? Plus it's hideous. All those lights on the fr...
