Re: Screenwash
Mik, -70 is a bit unnecessary but it means you can dilute it a lot and still have better freezing resistance than other brands. Yes if you are happy to dilute it then the costs become rather more comparable. Your stuff mixed 1:4 with water should provide -14 DegC freezing point so works out about £...

Re: Screenwash
I've had frozen washers in the distant past - often when up in the Highlands. And in a car that had heated nozzles, I've also suffered the "freeze on contact with the screen" problem. Neither are much fun. -70 DegC seems a pretty extreme solution though (no pun intended). For a few years n...

Re: Lotus Emira
I see Shmeeee has a yellow one nearly ready to be collected... I'm sure the video has been posted in the YouTube thread already. Another video to avoid, unless you want detailed insights into the colour pallette available, or the options price list, or you are seeking reassurance that there are lot...

Re: Advanced Driving Tuition
Lol @Mito Man .
I've seen some of Reg's videos before. I don't know personally, but I'd assume that the positioning, observation skills / awareness / techniques would be entirely applicable even if your speed crept slightly above the posted limit.

Re: Advanced Driving Tuition
Will check my emails and see if I can find any names @Gavin - have had a couple of different guys. Both v good, but the ex-traffic Cop (and therefore Class1 driver) was my favourite. My training was done the VXR8 and then the Evora, so instructors were always keen to do their demo drive .

Re: Advanced Driving Tuition
I should probably do it again, but I find I drive well within the limits of the cars and tyres. It's emphatically not car-limits control type training though. I'm sure tim can far more concisely explain, but its focussed around maximising your use of all available information sources to identify po...

More flippers.
Will be interesting to see what this hits - at the time of typing it’s at £72500 (+6% fee of course, so £76850).

Re: Advanced Driving Tuition
Yeah I have done Rospa and the AA Drivetech shizzle, I enjoyed both of them - some stuff it’s good to see you already do, but some of the other stuff was new and useful. Doing commentary is hard! All instructors were fine with me bulk-shifting gears where appropriate, and doing rotational steering (...

Re: Car Insurance Renewal Roulette
@Rich B Is it worth just taking a policy now and notifying them later? It’s a while since I had any points, so things might have changed, but I have never had to pay any extra in the past when notifying my insurer whilst the policy was running?

Nice. Lots of styling elements remind me of Pete @revsRus ’s 600LT. Engine sounds good to me. Agree that 2nd running to >80mph seems a bit silly.

Re: Your fleet running reports
There are apparently some out there who will happily pay over the odds in many areas just to be the first to have thing.
Let us know when you’ve placed your order for one in your spec though.
