Re: The Watches Thread

Sharing info that is likely to be of interest only to @SSO - who may be one of the recipients for all I know :?: 25-piece limited edition commission based on the (already limited to 150 pieces) Christopher Ward C7 Hornet. The Hornet was part of the C7 Rapide collection - @John on here owns one of t...

Re: The Use Case Rule

Very good article as always SSO... Quick question - and sorry if I missed an update, but do you still have a deposit down on a SSC Glickenhaus and if so, what’s its use and what will go to make room?? I do have a deposit down on a SCG004S, it should arrive next spring. It's an addition so no plans ...

Re: A Few Thoughts & Observations

Another interesting article. What are your thoughs on the reasons behind the slow sales of the DBX? Do you think it's likely to be because they're slow to ramp up the manufacturing / distribution or because of low demand? To me it seems the most appealing car in its sector, but I'm not in the marke...

Re: A Few Thoughts & Observations

Good read as always. When did f40 prices got through the roof? http://joemacari.com/All-Cars-for-Sale/_prod_Ferrari-F40_4708.htm They’ve had a crazy rise. When I stopped selling specialist cars as my main job in mid 2012, any F40 above £300k would hang around the showroom for ages, unless it was a ...

Re: My Hairiest Supercar Moments

Coming on to the pit straight at Donington in a 200SX, wheels weren't straight before the turbo came on strong. Resulted in a 720 spin and coming to rest about 6 inches away from a concrete wall. Rule #1 of driving the F40 is to always make sure the wheels are pointed straight ahead before allowing...

Re: My Hairiest Supercar Moments

A very neat and very unintentional 180 in a Z06 on Park Lane: It had just come back from a car show, I backed it off the trailer, put some lock on to go over three lanes and promptly ended up facing the wrong way - I hadn't taken account of a week's worth of tyre shine all over the treads. Test dri...

Re: My Hairiest Supercar Moments

Not had any scary moments in the Puma, or in the BMW so far, despite their reputations in some parts for lairiness, and the BMW being dangerous rear wheel drive (TM). I'm sure the BMW will bite me some day when I'm feeling cleverer than I really should ;) I do remember being just a bit sideways in ...
