Re: Cayman/Boxter RIP.
I'm sure that Porsche are very happy keeping on with the 911. If they can make a profit on selling the boxster for £60k, they're probably very happy making another £40k per car selling the 911 at £100k

Also lowballs do work sometimes, it's a numbers game though. When we were looking for a van to go to Ukraine I opened with a lowball on about 10+ adverts and two of them said yes. Also as Ascender is finding, sometimes those lowball offers do begin to look more attractive after a while  so you...

Re: Cayman/Boxter RIP.
[What a surprise - they’re keeping the more profitable one. On a per-unit basis I don’t doubt but what about overall ? They must sell way more cayman/boxster than 911. And then factor in that any new tech for the 911 is only amortised over the 911, not shared. I’m sure they’ve done all these calcs ...

Re: Selling Cars Privately
That's probably a damn good call - stop trying to actually encourage the next step and let them do it if they're actually interested. I reckon I've been guilty of offering/pushing viewings (thinking it'll help Move the process on) then been disappointed when they messed me around in the past.

Re: Selling Cars Privately
I've bought and sold plenty of cars privately - the old adage about buying/selling from/to the person is so true. If they come across as genuine, chances are the car/sale will be genuine too.
Any call/email that starts with an offer below the asking price is a waste of time.

Re: EV Thread
530 is a phev now as is the merc e300 at 2210kg. I'm not here to argue on the internet just pointing out it's not any heavier than an ICE equivalent. Indeed, it's not light, but for it's spec it's certainly not considered heavy. I'm not looking for EVO driving, just a nice car to waft about in. Gen...
Re: EV Thread
The point of raising the weight was in response to Mik implying that it might be a RWD fun drifter. Hence it was replying to his post.
Re: EV Thread
I don't think I've seen one IRL, but that looks pretty interesting. And single motor = RWD, so dab of oppo and you'll be away. 2000kg.... So for context about a 100kg less than the current BMW 530. no it isn't, it's 200kg MORE than the current 530i. 1833kg https://www.car.info/en-se/bmw/5-series/5-...

Re: Decent Recent TV
Griselda on Netflix. It's another Colombian narco drug kingpin (queenpin?) series about Griselda Blanco who was a ruthless Miami drug baroness that took over the entire drug trade in the area. Lots of drugs, sex and violence following the increasingly unhinged Blanco as she builds her vast empire f...

Re: Cayman/Boxter RIP.
Given that the entire electrical system is the same as the 911 - this sounds like an odd decision. Maybe they're just trying to maximise the ICE 911 profits for the last few years of production? 992.2 launches later this year with hybrid tech.. if the elec system is the same, I don’t think they’d b...
