That was the VXR8, and I was saving the breaks. Where is that JustGoFaster list of excuses?
We tested it with the Evora as well...

That Alpina system looks hateful.
Of course the proper lightweight solution is to bin off the valve cap altogether - unsprung weight innit.

I think it may already be ICE “ It will sit on an aluminium platform and be powered by a new family of engines – not Lotus developed, but not related to the current Toyota units either – that will be available in more than one state of tune” https://www.evo.co.uk/lotus/203463/lotus-type-131-product...

Re: Elise, Exige & Evora

Lolvo must do some decent petrol lumps? Hmmm. They're all 4-cyls in various states of tune with turbo and/or supercharger strapped to them. The Polestar restomod P1800 which has been doing the rounds seems to be quite well-liked but I suspect the engine in that would be prohibitively expensive. I c...

Re: Your fleet running reports

@scotta Yeah, saw those ones on FB. They seem to have fallen off the PNM Web page though. I don't mind the look of them apart from the black surround, but I'm sure I saw a chrome option when they were on sale. I don't think I'll replace mine with OEM, they are pretty bad (or my old knackered ones c...

Re: Your fleet running reports

A lot of people seem to be going for Harley Davidson 5.75" LED lamps. They're £20 to £30 each, but I think you have to do something to a bracket to make them work. Meant to be good mind you. Yes you have to fabricate a bracket to fit them to the clam. That in itself shouldn't be overly difficu...

Re: Your fleet running reports

@scotta Didn't fancy some of those LED ones that people are putting in these days? How difficult is it to do? I don't think it's that difficult at all. But i very rarely drive it at night so didn't think it was worth doing. I plan to replace the driving lights with the LED bulbs I've put in the F31.

Aren't the Elise headlights a standard off the shelf part like the old Mini/MX5/Land Rover Defender ones? No - Custom made by Valeo/Cibie. ETA - Eliseparts do a replacement kit but the lens's are different. https://www.eliseparts.com/shop/left-hand-drive-parts/s1-elise-exige-headlight-conversion/

Re: Elise, Exige & Evora

They were telling their dealer network last year that the current range of cars will be the last ICE cars they produce. It's a very bold move to ditch all the ICE and move forward on all electric in the sportscar market.

R.I.P Lotus i fear.

Re: Impact driver recommendations

Dumb question, I'm sure. Do these just wind themselves up then apply full torque to break the lock, then spin down? i.e. on wheel nuts you'd only use them to loosen them initially, not to get the nuts fully off, as keeping the trigger pressed does nothing until you release and press it again, then ...

Theres a guy round the corner with an E46 M3. Noticed the other day that the front wing is rotten.

Tom Hollick has pretty much rebuilt this one due to tin rot.
