Re: Dogecoin etc

RR have had a really good week and my Crypto is slowly improving so it’s a great start to the year. RR and Bentley have announced record profits recently. Shows the state of the world when many are struggling more than ever. The RR shares are mainly dictated by aero and marine power systems. I read...

Re: EV Thread

I can’t back this up but my friend who builds roads said something along the lines that when the structural capacity of a road is calculated they don’t even take into account light traffic as it’s negligible wear. It’s all based off how many pairs of HGV axles will pass along it. It’s the weight on...

Re: Tax return time

That reminds me, after my tax return they said they owed me £8500, my wife does my tax return and explained they had calculated it wrong, I pay no U.K. tax (I just have to declare overseas earnings) so cannot get a refund. They disagreed and put the money in my account, so I opened a seperate accoun...

Re: Tax return time

Wait til you go to pay it, their online system is slick as fuck - scam a QR code, open your online banking and pow - it's paid in seconds. Over Christmas I was chatting with a website content/UX designer and he was explaining how the gov.uk domain is the envy of other governments around the world. ...

RR have had a really good week and my Crypto is slowly improving so it’s a great start to the year. I’m looking at more companies involved in the switch to electrification, it’ll be a massive growth market. Even a place in Cornwall have extracted Lithium from local mines, people are experimenting an...

I love that, it’s the kind of posh car you would use if you lived in Gotham City 😎

Er…… sound deadening ?

25kg short of my steel bodied 4 door saloon and not a piece of carbon in sight.

Are modern engines with all their auxiliaries heavier than older simpler engines ?

Re: M3 Touring

So might be a tiny bit better if you have piles. I’ve driven quite a few cars that simply don’t work on fenland roads, the worst being a BMW 120d M, I bounced my head off the roof. Audi S5 was another. The piles are more of a pain on cattle grids. Dave! my M2 is surely firmer than a 120d - I've not...

I think it will be 4K all in. Which compared to a single destination and small average apartment seems like great value.

Re: 2023 Events - what's worthwhile?

Go for at least 2 days of the Goodwood revival, it makes the festival of speed quite redundant.

Dressing up revolves around a bit of tweed and a flat cap and the ladies love it. It’s fantastic.

10 days in a posh motorhome for us, 2 drivers and 10 days in Europe will be £1800 for the hire alone.

On the wife’s TT they are single use stretch bolts, I wouldn’t be surprised if the mount has been removed for a cambelt, service item of some sort and not replaced.

Or a hill Billy Ugg dugged torque wrench was used.

Re: Bye Bye Sunak..

At 16 a lot of young people want to go out and work, if you made it available that’s fine, if you made it compulsory then that would impact too many people wanting to start their working lives.

Stupid thing to try and set up.
