Re: Decent Recent TV

Ugly Delicious Food series on Netflix, fascinating stuff. I never knew fried chicken and watermelon was racist. https://www.netflix.com/au/title/80170368 its pretty big insult in the US along with grape soda, there's a very well used meme for it just found Ideal http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417332/...

Why would you do that to yourself?

Also, is cat content welcome here or will it be chased up a tree?

What about if we removed gaming from the header but still talked about games anyway as they are tech.

The wood in a CLS is almost always matte finished and looks stunning. They're leagues ahead of an equivalent saloon.
Purely personal, I don't like the colour of the wood in that car. Maybe the pictures are making it look plasticky.

Re: New car thread

It's a nice colour but I've had two of them before, I know the gearboxes are a little less than perfectly reliable and I fancy this: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201803315116507 Apart from the "wood" that's really nice. Sounds like you've pretty much set your mind on a C...

Interesting of you want to learn about the history of cryptography.
Tell me you've read Cryptonomicon.
I will tell you that yes, I have read Cryptonomicon. And it was 8-)
That sounds really interesting, it's on my list now.

Brandon Sanderson's novella The Emperors Soul was a good quick read too, must try his other stuff. Halfway through "Will save the galaxy for food" by Yahzee Crowshaw, it has it's moments. I keep meaning to get into Brandon Sanderson's stuff, I liked what he did with the end of The Wheel o...

I watched the first episode on the Motortrend app, it was alright. Same basic formula as all the other Discovery car shows though.

Most of all - don't act like a rugger shirt wearing English tosser in France and you'll be just fine. Like most places.
That's Shockers shit out of luck then, isn't it? ;)

Aye Ugly Delicious was pretty good, I piled through the whole thing in a day or two while I was working from home during all that snow.

New Legion has started well. First couple of episodes have been bonkers.

Re: Book review thread

Been Reading Iain M Banks books recently. Read The Algebraist and Consider Phlebas back to back and really liked both of them.

Currently reading Thieves Republic by Scott Lynch. It’s the third book in his Gentlemen Bastards series and I’m enjoying it so far.

If you find one of your posts on Evo, download the avatar image from next to that. It'll be the exact correct size. Should be possible by holding your finger on the image and saving it. Ha, I saved it from my profile screen on evo and was confused when it didn't work. It's cool though, used my leet...

We got Maya one of those cat water fountains for the corner of the lounge for this very reason. She now drinks much more water than she ever did from her bowl. Yeah we got a fountain for our cats as well, they much prefer drinking from a moving water source. An evolutionary thing to be wary of stan...

Elite Dangerous

I know there was a pretty lively thread on this on the almost deprated forum, so I thought I'd start one here.

The basic game is very cheap on PSN just now. Worth getting for a console casual or do I need a VR headset and twelve joysticks to really enjoy it?
