I think the real trick all these brands pull off is the premium price/imagine when they make millions of watches a year.

They somehow manage to maintain this mystique - but they're pretty much all machine-made, mass produced etc.

I know it's personal choice, so it's great that people really like the watches they've chosen, but... When I see that Brietling, my very first reaction is: it looks like a slide-rule. Not nice. BLNRs are lovely watches (I know a few people with them) and can, apparently, be flipped for a quick buck....

One of the worst things I've ever read - I won't give up on it though - I never not-finish a book/film/album etc - you never know ...
