I shall from now on inform the customer that I am simply a Dave. For what it’s worth, you can’t work in most countries unless you have a job title of engineer but a lot of countries see schooling or university as the only sources of education. Does anyone have a time or the Carrera GT on its original tyres and the modern ones? It was said at the time that it made a huge difference to how the car handled and gripped so I wonder if some of the bigger leaps are more down to tyres than a refining of suspension and brakes etc.

It’s not good for the engine, but, it would have been designed into it so probably makes no difference. It probably does more harm to the exhaust system than anything else and modern exhausts seem particularly good compared to 20 years ago.
