Re: 2014 Fiesta issues

Engine earth loose would give you completely-dead in my experience.

Starter solenoid (or power to the main circuit) more likely.

Why not ask the auto engineer you spoke to if he could take a look?

Nice one! Looks great. I love that bit of string that's always stuck to glider canopies.
Helicopter I flew (R22) used the same. I also love that despite all the instruments - this is so effective. :D

Re: Utterly stupid

It's 'cos 8 is now busy doing other things, like "alright m8?", "see you l8r"etc.

In order that the number 8 isnt worn out prematurely, A has had to raise its game and step in as a numeric substitute. Yo.

Re: No F1 thread?

I hate forums with a million stickies, but one sticky at the top with links to the popular / ongoing threads like the years f1 thread and the tv and film ones might be worth having? 🤔 imo the most posted on topics should stay at the top. Simples. If there’s 10 F1/spotted/etc threads, then so be it....

Claying a car is very satisfying. I remember showing my dad and him refusing to believe I wasn’t cutting the paint - despite the suspicious lack of any polishing residue....

Re: What haven't you done

Yep totally agree with the Concorde one, watching them land for the last time was surprisingly emotional. I would have loved to fly on Concorde. But more than that I would have loved to send my dad on Concorde. Never had the money when it was still flying. I was working in Livingston when the last ...

Seeing harrowing things

Driving a hire car to the airport in foreign land tonight. Big truck a few cars in front has just squashed mummy duck flat. I am in the next lane over and I haven’t registered what it is in the road yet... a hat? :? There are a couple of smaller blobs or similar colour near by that I don’t have time...

I have never struck a golf ball with anything more than a putter.

I have never eaten an oyster, or caviar.

I have never pulled a proper wheelie on a push bike (ie for more than about 2secs).

Learners on motorways

About time, although still some way to go as motorways arent yet part of the test. Shame it is restricted to certified instructors, but with the way most of the public drives - possibly a good call.
