Re: Where to sell old wedding ring?
I took mine to a gold dealer in the jewellery quarter in Birmingham. For something small like that, I'd far rather sell it in person. Bound to be similar places in Hatton Garden. I sold my first one in a cash for gold place on the high street. My last one was titanium so had no resale value. I was ...

I guess he won't get into trouble for offloading Ferraris now he's an Aston Martin driver.

Re: The phallic neck-tie is an outdated symbol of white male rule
When my thyroid was bad, ties or anything around the neck were uncomfortable.
I had one contract where I turned up in a suit and an open top button and was told that I needed to be wearing a tie. I've not worn a tie outside of hatchings, matchings or despatchings since.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Anyway, it looks like the issue might be that the wiper arm is the passenger side one rather than the drivers side one. It's not. The mechanism has failed and rather conveniently, it's a bastard to get to so I'll get a garage to do it and check the front left suspension as the tyre is jumpin...

The 9-5 had 3 heated jets on the bonnet that worked brilliantly.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Today's minor irritation with the Jag is the wipers. After the frost the other week the wiper stopped wiping a patch in front of the steering wheel. The blades were a bit shagged so I replaced them but the issue persisted. I assumed the hinge was knackered so sprayed it with wd40 and gave it a wiggl...

The F-duct name
Remember the F-duct in F1? It was first seen on the MP4-25 in 2010.By covering a hole in the cockpit it stalled the rear wing and increased top speed and was the thing that brought in the DRS system. Last night I discovered that it got it's name from the inlet duct on the McLaren's location in the &...

Sums up my experience of Alfa Romeo. Remarkably it's been 11 years since I had an Alfa.zx6rkiller wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 8:39 am
Perhaps not a perfect car, but at least a car that generates a lot of emotion.
Never driven one, but reportedly rather flawed.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Metal valve caps are horrible. Essential to smear grease on the threads to avoid that crap. Jimmy - mole grips are your friend. You’ll probably need a standard cap to go on afterwards though.... A set of mole grips and some replacement caps arrived today. With the assistance of a reluctant 8year ol...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Today's minor annoyance is the stupid dust caps on the jag wheels. The previous owner was a fat bloke and obviously couldn't bend down to check his tyre pressures so he bought some horrible indicator ones that show you when the pressure is low. It's like a shit version of tyre pressue sensors. As th...
