I suspect there's a lot of ADHD in the BASE jumping community. And dark humour. Very, very dark humour.

Re: Annoying car & driver combo memories

My uncle is a bit of a petrol head and had a white 8v identical to the one posted. It replaced his Mk2 Cav Sri that he had kept for years. It was fast but never handled as well as the cav. I remember when he was pushing it on abit the damping was a bit shit. It was a bit floaty as if the dampers we...

My standard response these days is "Something Korean".

Jimmy's films he's finally getting round to watching Breakfast at Tiffany's Breathtakingly good. George Peppard was such a handsome young man and the interplay between him and Hepburn is wonderful. It's dated horribly with everyone smoking and the overt racism of Mr. Yunioshi being played by Mickey...

EoTR: Jimmy jaunt in Jobbo's jewel of a Jimny

A very generous offer of the use of the Jimny while the 535d's autobox was in bits has come to an end. I'm actually quite gutted to give it back. The Jimny reminds me of the Mk1 MX5. They're similarly mechanical, analogue and engaging. It's charming and fun at a licence friendly speed. I've previous...

The BMW is just back from the specialist. Reconditioned gearbox, torque converter and the diff oil has been changed. The changes are smooth and crisper than before. It will take some time to trust it again but I'm sure I'll forget all about that, stick it in sport and charge across country when I ne...
