Re: Your fleet running reports

Bleurgh - adblue time again. What a bloody faff - why can it only take fluid at the same rate I can pee! I know its a urine substitue but they didn't need to take it that far... I gave up after 10 of the 15 litres but that's still enough to get me by for about another 12 months. Weirdly I also check...

Re: Test drive report

Don't forget to look at the key, carpet mat, and sill trim options... We strictly roots - it's GG's spec that has crests in the headrests, not mine! After grabbing the Macan key by accident earlier I did think we should at least get an eBay shell to go round it for a couple of quid - the basi...

Jobbo wrote: Fri Feb 09, 2024 3:32 pm - Air suspension for a comfy ride: actually the standard suspension is plenty comfy enough. Air would be to make it stiffer and lower if you felt like chucking it around.
Plus lower for access (assuming it does that) would be a good feature. Particularly if your wife has a bad back.

Re: Test drive report

Disagree! They look great in Green - though actually Porsche Racing Green may be the better shade (as per the below pic).

Re: Test drive report

Mine with my sensible trousers on. Realised I'd missed adaptive cruise off before - I would want that as well.

Re: Test drive report

Love the chromite black metallic. Would look great with the red interior.

My spec was obviously the kitchen sink of everything I'd possibly want so obviously not realistic!! I'd ditch things like the Burmester if I were actually buying one but still think it would come out c.110k!

Re: Test drive report

Ooh - very interesting! I would definitely have air but it sounds like you'll be going for that by default to get the 4WS. On something like Cayenne I think it will really add to the duality of it as a waft-maching but also sporty when you want it. PDCC on my 911 effectively removes the hard/soft da...

Re: Harry’s Garage

Enjoyed that, and uncle Harry makes some excellent points. His assertion that EV’s need to self-assess and display battery health is absolutely fair, although it’s ignoring the fact that the only measure we have with ICE cars is mileage; which makes fuck all differentiation between a car that is wa...

Re: Harry’s Garage

The new Range Rover sport seems to be a really decent car from everything I've read about it. Whilst the previous ones were quite inferior to the proper Range Rover this doesn't seem to be that way. The last generation Sport was close to the RR, being based on the same aluminium architecture. This ...

Re: Food in Covent Garden ??

I’ve not been to the Marylebone one but the bank is the older of the two and is very good. It never used to be open at the weekend because it’s obviously mostly city workers… that is until it became an Instagram hit and full of younger people. I would expect the city one will be much less busy in a ...

Re: Food in Covent Garden ??

I also have never been but need to give it a try. That said when I want a steak fix my default would be to go to l'Entrecote. I went to M not long ago and that was good but not unbelievable IMO. Last work funded lunch was 34 Mayfair on Tuesday - was decent but nothing that special to be honest. I ha...

Re: Harry’s Garage

It is a very interesting video and raises a lot of extremely perceptive points... Personally, I'm actually really regretting getting a Range Rover now... mainly because having shelled out for another 12 months insurance, I've felt compelled to start looking at Belgravia Green L460s in Autobiography ...

Looking forward to this one. Surprised if he's gone with a sport over a FFRR but maybe the thumbnail is misleading and that's just one he reviewed earlier... (don't spoil it!)

Re: Food in Covent Garden ??

Bloody plutocrat

Haven't come across Brix. If you want something that is an experience I would try either Rules (second oldest restaurant in the country) or J Sheekey if fish is on the cards (they also do a set menu for £39 Sunday to Friday). Wiltons also good (oldest) but $$$$$.

Re: No F1 thread?

Apparently Newey has an exit clause if Horner goes. Could be bye bye time for RBR...

Don't they also have to build their engines in house from next year with no support from Honda (which was subject to a transitional arrangement)?
