Re: Euro 2020
Penalties at the England fans’ end. Laser pens out?

Enjoy the adverts.
Can’t understand why there’s a closing ceremony before the final game. If the closing ceremony is worth having it should be after the last game; if it wouldn’t attract any interest then don’t bother with it.

Re: Euro 2020
It’s impossible to avoid so I’ll probably watch it, without any expectation that I’ll stay in the room for the whole game.
If we win, can the press and media wind down the coverage a bit for the World Cup next year?

Re: New car buying advice type thread
Even RichB, who drives a Golf GTI, is suggesting something else - that’s got to be a sign that you shouldn’t go for the Golf!

Re: New car buying advice type thread
Pretty much any roundabout accident is settled 50/50 so it’ll doubtless count against you (partly at fault = at fault in the eyes of insurers). Sorry to hear it. Don’t just get a diesel Golf though; they’re good cars, yes, but way overpriced. You could do a lot worse than a Merc CLS but frankly you’...

Re: Coronavirus
Had my second Moderna jab on Friday. Then went into Birmingham to see clients for lunch and an old colleague for coffee. Felt a bit under the weather yesterday; realised by the afternoon that it was a slightly raised temperature. Still went out for dinner and felt better for doing something rather t...
Re: Two weeks
That’s really awful - I hope they didn’t break into your house to get the keys.
Sincere sympathies.

Re: PS5
I'm still after one, but as the stock disappears before i even get to the page and I'm not willing to sit on StockAlert pages I've always missed the restock. Nor was I but I followed PS5 Stock Alert UK on Twitter and they gave a time window of 9-11am for Game restocking. It became available at 10am...

Re: PS5
I managed to order a PS5 from Game this week. Arriving next week. This thread is pretty quiet; I take it the lack of stock means not many of us have them? I only bought it because I’m still playing GTA and a few of my regular friends are using PS5s to play with us on PS4, so there’s no real reason n...

Re: Your fleet running reports
That is utterly beautiful Dan. The way the counterweights widen further out so the balancing weight is where it has most effect is lovely.
Do other people make cranks this nice? And did you design it yourself?

Re: New 2-Series coupe
Looks like a practical version of the Z4. But quite appealing; the wheels look shared with the M340i rather than the old M140i. Interesting flared wings. Rear lights are the only thing which looks a bit wrong but if more BMWs get them, they could start to look ok.

Re: Lotus Emira
Have the prices of the V6 and 4-pot been announced? I can imagine the AMG engine might be more expensive than the Toyota, which would be amusing. I'd have the V6 as an auto please. I don't care how good the AMG 4-pot is, it's still a 4-pot. Far from being the enthusiasts' choice it sounds like the e...

Re: Ineos Grenadier
Don't know what you're on about Rich - those odd plastic dots on the doors line up with each other and the hinges. And those weird plastic trim pieces line up with the door handles. It's a masterpiece! Actually, while I still doubt I'd like it, it would be immeasurably improved if it had a bad...

Re: Ineos Grenadier
That dash is hideous - looks like the controls are rack-mounted so you can pull them out and move them around Seats are nice. Like Zed, I don't want one; I'd have a new Defender. Compared to a proper old Defender, this is like a Santana; quite similar but massively less desirable.

Re: Your fleet running reports
My guess would be quite a lot, Rich, but that is entirely a guess. These sort of things just don't become available, surely? And every now and again someone with a classic Le Mans car may require a new engine to run at the Festival of Speed or whatever.
