Re: The Watches Thread
A 60 year old watch would surely be more trouble than it's worth... A week after me dissing old watches... When I went to visit him a few days ago my dad gave me his old Omega which he found in a drawer . I never remember him wearing it but did once find it in a cupboard when I was a child an...

Love the 70s style El Primeros.
A 60 year old watch would surely be more trouble than it's worth but the original version of that Breitling you like is pretty

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
In case anyone's interested I've found the (quite public) Instagram account of the current owner of the Countach. I won't name it but if you search Instagram for 'countach' and look at recent photos you'll probably find it. Looks like he's been getting a lot of use out of it since he got it a few m...

Countach 25th - very awkward looking thing, moreso in real life than in pictures, especially from the back. Still way cooler to see than modern Lamborghini's. I wondered if if was a kit car but no it's genuine - a bit of history of this one here https://supercarnostalgia.com/blog/lamborghini-countac...

Weird, she was mentioned at after work drinks this evening.
Her bedroom decor was quite something https://m.independent.ie/life/home-gard ... 13382.html

Felt better value at the £20 or so for a Smith & Sniff podcast ticket with the concours included! tbh I spent 90 mins or so wandering about and could easily have spent longer. I was there too! Got there about 4 and spent a couple of hours wandering around before the podcast, some great cars the...
Re: Hair cuts
You don't want to know how much it is in Laandan... The ones I go to in London are cheap and cheerful. The place I usually go to across the road from me is £16 with agree espresso. There's another place down the road I have been to a couple of times which is £10. I get a scissor cut on top, it woul...

One I found out about is the 13 mile long Ards Circuit which hosted the RAC Tourist Trophy from 1928-36. As a tangent, the Tourist Trophy is the longest running motorsport event and currently it's the Silverstone round of the World Endurance Championship. The northwest corner of the Ards Circuit in ...

Re: Tonight's Dinner
A roast potato is normally parboiled, then cooked in some kind of fat in the oven. A jacket is cooked in the skin in the oven, the ones I did today were peeled, then cooked in the oven. The latter two options are not very different really, but I use smaller spuds for the non-jacket ones. I know tha...

Re: Tonight's Dinner
Sounds delicious. What's the difference between a jacket potato and a roast potato though? Delia Smith's Basque Chicken is the meal I make relatively often that reminds me of my mum, less often I do kedgeree. Tonight I was in the office late and am far too tired to cook much so I'm just having pasta...

I still love them (or at least the idea of them!), but think I'd be buying a A110 over one if I was looking to buy that sort of car now. Sad to see it go from the Forum.

Just Eat definitely have their own delivery people in London. Also - the riding standards of all these delivery riders going along pavements at high speed on their e-bikes is shockingly bad.

Probably around ten times at this point. The food often doesn't travel well though and it's more expensive so I only do it when I've nothing to cook and don't have the energy to go out.

Re: The Watches Thread
No one impressed enough by anything released at Watches and Wonders to post about it? I think the Black Bay 54 (37mm, design based on the 1954 Tudor/Rolex Submariner) looks great. I'm sure it will be too small for most people, but for me the smaller the better when it comes to watches. But there's b...
