Re: Button to race at Le Mans 2018
different rules though innit, The GT1 only looked the way it did because they were bending the rules of the class to breaking point. It is a shame that there's no equivalent these days though.

I take it I'm the only one that thinks it looks like pretty much every other LMP1 car then?

Re: Food served on wood
I just remembered that I got into an argument on the food board at PH because someone tried to say that this was an acceptably prepared burger .

Love that. I covet this piece of land with planning permission for a ridiculous house. Huge underground garage would be on my plans as well.

Re: Apu in the Simpsons
I mean, we had this debate many years ago in the UK, we decided it kind of wasn't OK for Michael Bates to play an Indian man in It Ain't Half Hot, Mum. An Indian actor might get away with it. Or Jim Davidson's Chalky character. I kind of went to this point earlier on. If The Simpsons had been live ...

Re: Apu in the Simpsons
Which part is pathetic, the imaginary bans or the frothing about a man possibly not doing a silly voice anymore?

Re: Apu in the Simpsons
I think the funniest thing about these arguments is how quickly people start talking about bans, no one has banned anything.
Hank Azaria said he might stop doing the voice and people have got all frothed up about it.
It's the grid girls in F1 thread all over again.

Yes, definitely. Except that those PC SJW Snowflake types who are dictating all this hate white people so none of them either.

Re: Apu in the Simpsons
Racist I’m not personally offended by C U Jimmy, I’m not offended by Apu either. Contrary to what some of you think I don’t spend my whole life in a state of moral indignation . As I said in my original post, times change. You either move with them or get left behind. A theme that the simpsons ...

Of course, people not doing “comedy” accents or relying on hacky stereotypes will be the end of the performing arts .

Re: Apu in the Simpsons
There are plenty of things that were accepted 30 years ago that aren’t cool now. Times change.
If The Simpson’s had been a live action show it wouldn’t even have been acceptable then.

Re: Food served on wood
You don't have enough garlic in it to taste garlicky, it adds a bit of an extra savoury flavour.
I know the word Pitta comes from greek but the bread itself is a generally middle eastern thing, no?
Either way burgers go in buns, the real argument is whether you are wrong and like Brioche buns.

Re: Food served on wood
I don't use the eggs or breadcrumbs, the burgers I make have never needed the extra binding. Mince, salt (I use smoked salt if you can find it, it's been harder to find in shops here recently), pepper, garlic & onion powder and ancho chilli powder. I make turkey burgers this way as well which ar...

Re: Food served on wood
aye, 4 oz for a double stack burger or slightly thicker if we're only putting one on each bun. I flatten them out before I put them on the heat because I use a griddle, my missus has started making her own buns as well and they're ace. I would post a picture but the only one I could find is the prom...

Re: Food served on wood
The place my missus is working in just now is trialing a burger to put on the menu so I had to go in last night to try it. I got a reasonably sized, very tasty burger on a plate with a couple of pints of decent beer in not stupid glasses. It didn't cost me a penny either. It's a hard life sometimes ...

I don't care if it's doing it wrong, a flat nose DCR 930 Turbo is on my lottery garage list.
Those are some poor quality shots though Duncs. I couldn't figure out what the LF-A was on my phone this morning .

Re: Letting people out
Worse than that is when some courteous driver stops to let someone out and the waiting driver isn't expecting it, so it takes a while for them to get going, and when they do, the courteous driver has already decided they're not going to go, so they both move at the same time, then they both brake a...

Re: Food served on wood
File under the same category of cuntery that has people attempt - note, ATTEMPT - to serve me drinks in A FUCKING JAR. Whilst not quite as bad, I bloody hate novelty pint pots - Peroni, San Miguel, Starorammen (sp) all have their own glasses. I ALWAYS ask for it in a "Normal Pint Glass".....
