Re: Decent car YouTubes

New lap record for a GT3 at Mt Panorama. Albeit an “unrestricted” GT3 - I haven’t looked into what that means (other than presumably no intake restrictor) Love this track - so technical, and so punishing of errors. Very clean lap, flat at 300kph through The Chase at the end of Conrod straight is ju...

Re: The Movie Thread

Finally finished watching Oppenheimer. Quite a film. Nolan keeps knocking it out the park, doesn't he? Apart from the slightly ambitious Tenet to blot his copybook, I've loved most of what he's done. A worthy winner of multiple BAFTA gongs too... I wonder what we'll see next from him. Do you need a...

Same!

Impressive ability to deal with odd shapes and awkward environments though.

Re: 1.6 Tonnes is the new heavy

So yeah - lets shift behaviour, but by making the other options more attractive than they are today. Absolutely this. The likes of the "fuckcars" knobbers will happily sabotage road infrastructure for the sake of their politics. Most places are not ready and may never be ready for non-car...

Yes, the Uzi had a ridiculous rate of fire, which just means you run out of bullets quicker

Sounds like this torch is so bright, you can't really use it (at full brightness)
Yup 50kW torches are probably best left to the turrets.

Laser weapons were always going to be the next breakthrough in warfare. And does this mean the UK is actually leading the way in something? :o Apart the Yanks field testing one on a Frigate for nearly a decade, yes. As for terrifyingly tech advances in warfare I think autonomous drone swarms ...

Re: Ukraine

Seriously brave and not a little lucky, the tank missed once or twice before being blinded. There was a 2nd Bradley that was in the fight too. Watched an interview with the crew and the gunner had graduated from training in Germany in December. Guy is hoping the successful mission will help get his ...

The BEEKEEPER stupid, but in a good way. Jason Statham hits baddies in entertainingly violent ways for an hour and a half. The baddies having all scored gold stars in the Stormtrooper school of marksmanship.

Re: H-24 engine configuration

Actually, maybe I'm thinking of the v16... Hmmmm that sounds like the recording from Into the red, now googling it I was mistaken it IS the V16 in ITR not the H16. There's bugger all decent videos of high revving H16 out there, probably because of its terrible reputation for blowing up if it got ou...

Money taps on full flow for anything counter drone/uav now.

I can imagine laser systems sitting on top of every tank, APC and IFV in a very short number of years.

Re: H-24 engine configuration

I was not aware of this. However I was aware of the BRM H-16 which being a pair of stacked flat 8s is 8 less than the H24 Yeah the H16 was bananas both simulated in Grand Prix Legends and recorded on the CD from Into the Red. That H24 is quite something, not sure it'll make the same 16,000rpm as th...

Unless it's specifically a shepherd's or cowherd's pie the lack of pastry sides for a "pie" should be considered the grossest form of false advertising.

Having finally knocked Alien Isolation and Space Marine off the pile of shame I've now spent some time with GTA V. It's quite a thing isn't it 8-)

Minigun reefer madness if my favourite mission so far.

Unforgiving RNJ of the racing missions very nearly made me rage quit.

Rebel Moon I thought my expectations had been lowered enough. Actually when the cool old wardroid was about I thought it might actually be pretty good. It was always going to be cheesy you could tell that from the open title. But not even space a Hippogriff could rescue this from so much high densi...
