Re: The House Projects Thread

We have too many bikes, although we have thinned the collection down to 8 recently (2 each). We have 4 hanging up on the rack and the other 4 leaning against each other underneath. It doesn’t help that I’m the only person in the house that can put bikes on and off the rack. Bikes are just awkward to...

I’ve got a new gasket, filter and 12 litres of ATF on order. When they arrive, I’ll do the needful and see if it works.

Your hashtags are cringeworthy  Has the box ever been rebuilt? Any history at all on it? That might point to something... Hashtags get people who know about Camaros replying. That’s what they’re for. #InstaTard. I think I find all hashtags cringeworthy  Do you want a medal for it?

Well said, Dinny.

Ah, so it’s the left’s fault when a right-wing Government mandates a lockdown. Gotcha.

Re: The House Projects Thread

More of a rant than a project. We decided to replace the cooker hood because it’s old and wasn’t working particularly well. I figured that the hard part was already done ie drilling a big fucking hole through the wall for the vent pipe. Taking the old hood apart, it became apparent that the reason i...

Yeah, but all the parts to put a T56 into a Camaro exist off the shelf for pennies and already fit the LS without an adaptor.

Probably a 5.3 truck motor. They’re $500 and make over 400bhp with just a cam swap.

These are normal tranny hanging off the back of the engine.

Aren't yank auto boxes pretty simple and therefore cheap to rebuild ?
There’s a bloke in the UK that will do a full rebuild of a 700R4 box for £850, apparently. A T-56 6 speed manual is about double that.

Re: Project Redneck

The gearbox has just shit itself. I was cruising along and all of a sudden there were plumes of smoke out of the back and no drive at all. I’m hoping it’s just an oil hydraulic line that’s popped. Fluid is pissing out and is all over the underside and rear bumper. If it’s fucked, then it’s an excuse...

You could as it'll be better built and last longer.
Not so sure, anything that's been in the UK will have major rust issues.

I really like the new Corvette! I'd probably have one over a 911.
I’d definitely have one over a used Cayman.

Re: Coronavirus

It sounds like one of those things people spread on Facebook. Not to cast aspersions at your mum, but are these people she knows or is it a case of repeating what someone else has said? How does she know what was put on the death certificate of 3 (presumably) unconnected people?

Companies have already found loopholes in existing rules on origin to present meat as UK sourced when it isn’t. So unless you 100% know where your meat came from, there’s a chance it’s going to be the shite stuff.
