Re: Coronavirus

When the deaths reach zero we still need a period of time locked down to clear any infections which are still about, is there any data on how many people are infected in the UK and the lead times behind that?

Re: Bye Bye Boris!

Doesn’t make sense how plastic items stored in a sealed container can expire does it. Because it’s medicine and everything has an extra zero on the end of the price tag. Even oxygen In sealed containers expires. It’s about being able to guarantee quality for an amount of time and use after that dat...

Re: Coronavirus

If you went to any company on the 1st of March and told them this was going to happen they’d laugh in your face, then eat their own words before the month was out!

Re: Coronavirus

Quite a rise of late then. Good to see they are looking at it this way at last. Makes it more real for people. The obvious danger of that sort of reporting is people will just fob it off aS not being any worse that a flu outbreak 20 years ago. Agree mate but we can't live like this for much longer ...

I saw 25+, but only in a train of 3 at the most with big gaps in-between. Pretty cool, might try and photo them tomorrow.

Personally I’d pay the few hundred I’m owed to see O’Leary go bankrupt.
I'd want to see him go bankrupt rather than fold the company and re-start elsewhere.

I had not even heard of the Starlink system.
I think you should set an alarm to remind yourself, you wouldn’t want to miss it.

Re: iPhone se 2

Why do you need 256gb of storage ? I haven't got that much on my laptop. Podcasts, photos, apps are getting bigger - I found 128GB was touch and go as to whether I could download stuff. Yes, I don't delete things, but why bother if I don't have to? Exactly. I often refer back to images from ten yea...

Re: iPhone se 2

I’d have an SE except that the XS screen has spoiled me. I’d prefer to go back to Touch ID instead of Face; there’s far more pressing the side button (to use Apple Pay, to install apps) than when it had the button. Yeah, Face ID for authorisation was a step back. My new MacBook Pro has the finger p...

Re: Coronavirus

Also interesting. I'm no conspiracy theorist, but it does seem a little convenient that it started from an infected bat, in a city that had a very specific facility that tested that type of infection on bats... There’s definitely enough around it to worthy of a close look but I’ve no confidence in ...

Current subscribers are being offered access to the digital version whilst there’s a lockdown, but that’s not a permanent solution.

Golf R’s are targets, yes.

If I were to buy a V10 M5 - better as an estate - then I’d buy the nicest one I could afford and treat it as a rolling restoration. It would be one to sit on long term. I’d also secure it like Fort Knox.

Re: Where’s the car price crash apocalypse ?

I’ve already seen PCP/HP holidays from a number of car companies. It’ll be a demand lead restart to it all too, manufacturers won’t start building again until they need to because building stock they can’t make money from helps no one. It's an odd hiatus. People with leases ending are being offered ...

Re: Where’s the car price crash apocalypse ?

It might never happen on a large scale, especially if people keep their incomes thanks to the governments furlough scheme. I think the people who will suffer the most financially are in the lower paid jobs and on the whole they don’t tend to run lease cars, they’ll either own the cars outright (budg...

Re: Lego

That Ducati looks the business 8-) Might be a stupid question, but where the best place to get a deal on a new Defender kit to help with the lockdown craziness? The fact they have it in stock is a start, but Smyths have been good for me. Costco list it for less but no stock. https://www.smythstoys....
