Re: Rtx 30 series cards

Am I alone in thinking that launching the 3080 and then releasing the 20Gb version news item is a bit, well, shitty? If somebody has just managed to get a 3080 they’ll be pissed, no? Makes what BMW did with the M5 Comp version almost acceptable.

Re: Rtx 30 series cards

Well that was an, er, interesting launch, not really sure which other word to use. Stock disappearing immediately, if it was even available in the first place, people getting confirmations then cancel emails minutes later, and now trolls on eBay bidding up the flippers it would seem. And after all t...

The absence of pork-related gags in this thread is disappointing. As is the fact the I cannot think of any good ones. Although those bacon pics are giving me a lardon...

Re: New car thread

That I like. They’re fab cars. Wife’s friend’s father (keep up) took his Octavia in for some work at his local place in Suffolk. They gave him a Yeti as a courtesy car. Which he then bought and told them to keep the Octavia. And this happened over the weekend which as coincidences go is bloody freak...

Re: Today’s want

Thoughts are again turning to the second car option. Still fancy a DB9 but for a lot less money, something like this now appeals:

Anybody know anything about the C216?

Re: No F1 thread?

Enjoyed that. Does anybody know if Sky allows the viewer to pick their own car cameras? Not sure if that is actually a thing?

Yeah this. Also like Mik I immediately went to 20v Quattro when I read the first post, which is really weird because I’ve also no idea why.

Their offer to me for the Panamera matched the trade-in value from the dealer, but was £4k south of the alleged private sale price.

I still quite like them, at least in terms of design. Compared to that lop-sided Disco thing especially, looks good.

Re: Anyone want a new M4?

Yep M5 deals have been impressive over the last year or so. I was offered a new (non-comp) M5 last year for just over £65k IIRC. RRP was £90k.

Re: Rtx 30 series cards

Interesting fact I heard yesterday on these is that Nvidia themselves are now going to sell their own version of the reference design, so in addition to the AIB versions (which apparently are what MSI and the like are referred to as?) they are themselves selling an improved version. Ergo the FE is p...

Can somebody please explain or draw some context around the rule which resulted in those penalties during the race because drivers didn’t leave a car width to the edge of the track?

Re: No F1 thread?

Hmm I watched the qualifying highlights on Sky yesterday for the first time in years. A spark of interest raised based on what I was watching as I couldn’t immediately understand why Ferrari is evidently so shit these days (I’ve not watched any F1 during the modern hybrid era) plus there’s all this ...

Re: Rtx 30 series cards

Cheers guys so if I can get hold of an FE version from the 17th then sounds like it will give a big enough benefit over my existing MSI GTX1070 to render the higher cost of the MSI 3080 a complete waste of money. And that’ll then probably trigger a PC rebuild...
