My Cavalier had 150k ish on it. A4 had around 140k on it. I had an old mondeo that had done over 100k When i traded the Golf R in it had about 65k on it.
Dad used to change his taxis at 2 years old - they usually had around 250k on them.

Re: For the FTAO of JL
Taxi JL02CAB - In Edinburgh. Presumably JL has moved from sandyvagland to become an edinburgh cabbie. I can’t see any other explanation.

Re: New Supra
For GG’s next argument: which is best, oxygen or water? Water as you can produce oxygen from it if needed via hydrolysis. Next question ;) What if you run out of oxygen in the time it takes to process the hydrolysis. Once again you are wrong and Oxygen wins. Hang fire whilst i trawl the internet fo...
Re: New Supra
Well the forumites have seemingly not disproved that twin turbos are preferred to single turbos, that the currrent Supra is significantly slower than the current 911 Carrera and that it has always been around half the cost so I'm resting easy! Turbos - Pros and cons on both in the context of BMW en...
Re: New Supra
Your argument does not stand up in the context of the current GTR that was as quick as a 997 turbo for half the price when launched, an NSX that outperformed a 348 at a significantly lower price and the original Supra which was quicker than the 964. Comparing the 911 to a 488 seems to suggest you a...

Re: New Supra
according to Evo the carrerra S does it in 3.7...So id say for 2/3rds of the price you are getting it! I would however like to retract my 2/3rds price statement and change it to almost HALF. £98k base vs £52k base. In '93 it was $65k for a 964 Carrera 2 and $38k for a Supra. A Supra was 58% of the ...
Re: New Supra
3) Autocar factored it 0-60 on their Vbox at 4.0 seconds....Thats probably sufficient power for their "entry" supra. Given everything is now turbo and a Carrera S is 3 seconds dead to 60 I'm not sure it is in 2019. The whole point of a Jap coupe is that you should be getting Carrera perfo...
Re: New Supra
OK: 1) There will be a point in the power vs response requirement where twin turbos become preferable to a single. A twin scroll turbo extends this point but still has limitations. You also need to cover the additional cost of a twin turbo set-up, which is arguably easier to do in a halo model. 2) ...
Re: New Supra
That twin turbos seem to be preferred to single turbo set ups (even twin scroll) by BMW for performance applications, the Supra really should have had the superior engine from the M2/M3/M4 (but didn't because BMW product line up reasons) and that it is yet another area where the new car is a compro...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Our 420d has been in the dealer since Friday morning to have the stereo fixed (there's no sound from anything, including all the warning bongs etc.). They've replaced the amp today, but that hasn't fixed it. They don't know what's wrong with it and have offered a courtesy car for tomorrow. That sou...
Re: New car
Looks ace. I considered one of these prior to buying the Elise but decided that for my intended purpose (Track use) the Lotus was the better option.
Looks like you've got a great car also judging by the history of the guy.

Re: Your fleet running reports
I haven't really had much reason to post in this thread because the CR-Z's hasn't gone wrong, but I've moved to London now and really can't justify keeping a car here that I don't need. Never raced or rallied, best colour, original windscreen etc... It needs to be brought to that wheel refurb place...

Re: Your fleet running reports
744kgs is seems good going. Have you done much in the way of chasing weight? I've genuinely no idea what a "regular" S1 Elise should weigh, I thought they were usually 800+ Pro alloy radiator and nitrons. Not sure if the nitrons weigh less than the billsteins but it was 760kg before I did...
