Re: For the FTAO of JL

All the New Routemaster buses have private plates beginning with LTZ - no idea why though.

Re: BYD are taking over EVs

Reuters based their article on messages they saw from within Tesla. It may be that all the engineers and directors within Tesla have decided that a Model 2 is not viable but Elon may single handedly throw his toys out the pram and demand they go ahead anyway  Just like with the Cybertruck. And ...

Re: BYD are taking over EVs

Tesla Model 2 scrapped most likely due to competition from China, you can't compete at the bottom end of the market with them https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/tesla-scraps-low-cost-car-plans-amid-fierce-chinese-ev-competition-2024-04-05/ If the biggest non Chinese EV maker who h...

Re: Test drive report

I got bored after the second photo. Just buy the 911, it’s obviously what you want. This. Alpine is a nice enough car but no competition to a 911. Also it still looks like it has the interior of a £30k car. I don’t think they’re worth £40+ and they’re all suffering from rusty arches after a few yea...

Re: The ebay thread

I've been looking for a black leather interior for my Mito, they don't come up for sale often and when they do they look utterly ruined with multiple cuts and appear to have had a belt sander run across them...

Re: PS5 Games

COD on a games pad will be a struggle if you’re just starting, tbh most shooting games will be as it’s hundreds of hours of getting dialled in with a joystick to accurately use it - which is hard to make up as an adult. Cyberpunk is enjoyable. GTAV is worth it if you haven’t played it before. No Man...

Re: Cholestorol and heart disease.

Been taking statins since I was 15. Mum was diagnosed with high cholesterol around then. It's genetic - familiar hypercholesterolaemia. She's had two heart bypasses - one double, one triple. I'd like to avoid it, but I also like the occasional bit of red meat and other non-ideal dietary items. Curr...

Re: Bright light, bright light!

I think so, iirc Tavarish said the P1 had the smallest brake lights in terms of surface area which McLaren could legally fit.
So this is the limit

Re: Bright light, bright light!

This reminds me of the Cybertruck where the brake lights are dimmer and illuminate a smaller area than the normal lights so it’s the complete opposite of how it should be

Re: EV Thread

I remember Jay Leno featuring a few 100 year old EVs from his garage on his Youtube channel. What was most surprising was that they had a range of about 60-80 miles back then. They even had rapid battery swapping capability. Which really shows that the technology is better now but the ideas aren't a...

Re: Cholestorol and heart disease.

😂 the online bollocks and miracle cures reminds me of something. Lying in a hospital bed I got to chatting with a nurse about whether she’s seen any of these alternative treatments do anything. “Oh we get quite a lot of patients who pursue them, but I’ve never seen them return for even a checkup aft...

Re: Bright light, bright light!

I wonder if they can get the lights to recognise number plates and not aim above them? I mean, this is purely so the government can say “look at what we are doing to make your lives better!” and it’s highly likely they won’t get anywhere, but I wonder if there is an actual technical solution? Matri...

Re: Bright light, bright light!

I wouldn't be surprised if we end up with a bullshit UK only rule where car headlights have to be limited to 5 watts
Remember, the government make everything worse.

Can’t sign the petition yet as it’s under review.
Remember when Sim City pulled this online only DRM shit, with woefully inadequate servers. Pretty much killed off the whole franchise that.

Re: Clocks changing

Ah yes the Mito stationary thing got on my tits, I think it’s why I never changed it. I remember being bored senseless on a 50 mph section of motorway and thinking I’d gone crazy as I couldn’t find the menu to change the time. Speaking of not being allowed to change things unless stationary - it loo...
