Re: The ongoing X5 saga

The red bits are awful; definitely need to be black. Are they a separate bit you can replace ? Paint them ? Wrap them ?

Swap the V8 Cayenne for a V10 Touareg, I could live with that. But the 5 & 3 ? I'm not sure there's anything I want with those engines.

Re: Evidently NOT the Shortest Ever "Guess The Car" Thread

Nice! Thank you 8-) I had a quick search of 360 running costs...pleasantly surprised, cheaper than expected given most parts are usually on a 500% Ferrari tax. They're actually pretty simple cars underneath, very DIYable for most things. Lots of info out there. This site in particular is a goldmine...

Re: Evidently NOT the Shortest Ever "Guess The Car" Thread

So.. just a Lamborghini to go and you’ve got the full set! I know I keep banging on about it, but it's very important - what are Lambos like for cabin space ? I do quite fancy a Gallardo (same ethos as the Continental - VAG grubby bits wearing a posh frock). I suspect they're a bit small though and...

Re: Evidently NOT the Shortest Ever "Guess The Car" Thread

I'm paying £43,500 for the car, if I get £1k back from the exhaust and radio then I'm in for £42,500 in total and that seems like a good deal right now. That amount reminded me if this article I saw on our overlords of olds website the other day https://www.evo.co.uk/bmw/2-series/205992/bmw-230i-m-...

Fuck me, you've only gone and done it! 8-) I remember chatting to you ages ago at a track day and saying I wanted a 360. I am pleased to say that I walk the walk on these things, even if it takes me a few years to get around to it ! I'll have to swing by some time and take you out for a spin.

Yes! Good purchase! What a brilliant collection you have!! Does your wife never look at that part of your grounds then!? 😁 She is very understanding. I've not even told her yet. It'll be a nice surprise when it turns up next week. Also, Steve can have a car meet all by himself now!… cunning plan to...

Oh - and the "full service history" isn't  Gaps and missing invoices but plenty of invoices - some quite chunky - for other stuff, mainly from Meridien who are Ferrari main agents so the owner, who had it from 2012 up until the start of this year, wasn't too scared of spending. It mad...

Re: Evidently NOT the Shortest Ever "Guess The Car" Thread

Why the F1 over the Manuel SJ? I'm sure both would be fabulous just a question as the market seems to favour a Manuel! It does, and that probably was the deciding factor in all honesty, that on my budget a manual was unlikely to happen. The silver manual that I posted was sold almost instantly. I e...

First one was the MINI ?

"4 cylinder FWD has lovely alcantara and leather seats, flappy paddles 19" wheels..." could be almost anything from the last 15 years !

Is it silver, and a Skoda ?

Re: Evidently NOT the Shortest Ever "Guess The Car" Thread

Wow! The wheel is OK but those seats look like Freddy Kruger eviscerated batman! The red is not so bright in real life, more like oxblood. I'd still like to change the steering wheel but the seats are actually OK. I've deposited on it (so to speak ??), paying the balance next week, due to be delive...
