Re: FTAO Macbook experts

No battery bulging and I've reset the SMC with no change. It's booked into Apple on Saturday so we'll see what they have to say.

FTAO Macbook experts

My wife has a Macbook Air that has seen very little use. It is left standing for months and I suspect this is what has caused the problem which is that the battery won't charge. The battery indicator is stuck on 1% and is refusing to go any higher although the Macbook works fine if it is plugged int...

Re: Insurers (of all stripes)

My wife received a letter today from her car insurer (Aviva) enclosing a cheque for just over £30. Apparently they had mistakenly over charged her when she renewed her insurance in August. So they aren't all crooks and thieves  Probably overcharged her £60 - £30 was less the processing fee :lo...

Re: Insurers (of all stripes)

Our home renewal doubled in price so I went online and got a quote from them as a new customer which was less than we paid last year. I phoned them up, had a moan, and they renewed for the online price without too much difficulty.

I've just had a flick through the online version, what a joyless publication.

They are having a festival in the Lake District next May though which I'm sure will be most enjoyable

Re: Your fleet running reports

We had evidence of rats in the engine bay of our motorhome, no damage that I can see but rat droppings on the engine cover. After reading about various "cures" I sprayed diluted peppermint oil around the engine bay and wheels and bought one of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VKBHH15/ref...

My last one was £150, that was a fairly simple retrim being just a thicker rim and perforated leather.

Israel want revenge and they want it badly, this isn't going to be the same as the previous "scuffles" between Israel and Palestine.

When we visit Sennen Cove near Lands End I often use Marine Traffic to ID ships I spot out to sea. I’m slightly obsessed with this one although it doesn’t travel far :D https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/h ... 15/zoom:10
