Re: New car thread

Even with the luxury pack (nappa leather, artico dashboard and alcantara headlining) they feel quite hair-shirt inside. I appreciate that they do have some of the air of a W124 which the W211 lacked, but there's just nothing massively desirable about being in one.

Re: New car thread

It's a nice colour but I've had two of them before, I know the gearboxes are a little less than perfectly reliable and I fancy this: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified ... 3315116507

Re: New car thread

Not automatics. No way I'd have a manual car as my main daily driver now. And I look at the one auto 320d xDrive Touring just under £10k in a terrible colour scheme with no options and I just couldn't. Why would you over a cheaper Merc CLS? I'll just get winter tyres and use the Tacuma for anything ...

Re: New car thread

XC60 or X3? 3 series xdrive estate? Think you’ll be disappointed with all of them though after your Allroad. That's the thing - never particularly liked the X3 in comparison to the X5 and they aren't that cheap (the original shape is a bit old anyway) so I'd just stump up the extra for an X5. 3-ser...

Links opening in new tabs

Thanks for making links automatically clickable, Matt. Is it possible to make them open automatically in a new tab?

I prefer mine without eye holes so I can be blind to flipped images.

Re: New car thread

I could get an A6 Allroad of the previous generation to mine too... however, I think that's a recipe for dissatisfaction!

A 2010-ish Audi A4 Avant quattro 3.0 TDI is possible. Smaller and sportier so without being too much more of the same but old.

If they started selling Lynx at twice the RRP in store, do you think profits would go up or down?

Mick should have been here to start this thread

I'm going to see a man about a wedding tonight, then doing some gardening and trying not to fvck up my back like I did on Easter Sunday.

Re: ....and we're back as OV9

I posted this on the FB thread, but it bears repeating here: on the subject of the OV9 logo, it probably ought to be freshly drawn rather than blatantly nicked and reversed. We don't want issues with the new forum for a minor bit of copyright infringement.

New car thread

I aim to make this longer than Munki's deliberations. Well, it might end up that way because my lease doesn't end until July. First option is to buy my Allroad off the lease company if they give me a price of around £25k. However, I have already budgeted the funds to doing two new bathrooms and a ne...

Hang on, I invited Mark to the Facebook group. He may have left the Evo forum but this isn't the Evo forum, and the Facebook group very expressly isn't. And even lurkers from the old forum registered there as it died, so why on earth try to hound him out of here two days into its existence? FFS peop...

You'll be pleased I put a Lego thread in there, then - since that's neither Tech nor Gaming.

Might cut down the stuff other than the mini figures a bit, mind you. Mark, it’s usually only from the Lego stores (online and bricks and mortar if you...
